I just need to get my story out because it's been eating me up inside. I don't really post on reddit, I read about these stories here. I never thought I would be one of them, but here I am.

I just got fired two days ago for sexual harassment. I told the HR woman all kinds of things that my female boss did to me when I first started working there, and there were pages of incidents violating company rules, her pressing her body up against mine, rubbing her hand on my inner thigh, sexual comments, sharing details about other employees getting fired, confidential things she wasn't supposed to tell anyone, all kinds of stuff. HR said no one backed me up on anything I said, but I asked a coworker and they told me that they didn't even know what the questions were about. I think that they phrased the questions in such an ambiguous way that they were confusing, or asked leading questions to gey a specific answer.

Regardless, she got away scot free, and they fired me to discredit me and protect her, as well as the company, from the scandal.

All HR cared about was getting me to say I did something, asking different versions of the same question. If I had not been a man this would have been a completely different situation, and that pisses me off that shit is so corrupt.

For years I told myself that feminism was not as bad as I thought, that it was exaggerated. I believed I was paranoid about how things worked. This was my first job in a professional setting and this happens. I loved and trusted the people I worked with, and they betrayed me.

Now I have to lie about my employment in order to get another job. And when I do, which I will because I have to eventually, how can I trust people next time not to set me up and destroy me? I will never look at women and management the same way again.

I know people have much more tragic stories than mine, and my heart goes out to y'all. What happened to me sucks, but it could have been much worse.

I don't hate women, and even this will not make me hate them, but I'm going to be keeping my emotional distance from them more now. I don't understand how anyone, woman or man, can justify destroying someone's life like this and live with themselves. Do they just not have empathy, or feel guilt?
