Hey Guys,

Not proud but had my first binge drinking/eating session last night after 6 months sober. Feeling very guilty and ashamed.

Without getting into it too much... 8 months in to a horrible divorce (no kids, property, shares and assets). Things were suppose to be amicable, however she decided to involve family and thanks to lawyers she wants blood and war.

Unfortunately come to find out she had financially planned the whole thing months in advance, was having "emotional" relationships with male coworkers and was airing out all my personal issues to her friends without ever discussing them with me.

I had my faults and take responsibility for my part in it all. Always loyal and never abused her. Worked hard, took care of the property and did everything to make her life easy. Even during this process i bowed down to her every request and kept trying to be amicable (regretting it now).

Ive had it all thrown back in my face. The shit shes done and said to me is enough to make me want to end my life.

Im lurking here again. Noticing that lately the weekends have been particularly brutal. I guess it highlights how much Ive been worn down and how defeated I am. Life goes on everyone yet Im stuck and miserable.

  • Anyone notice overwhelming emotion during down time? Friday arvos and Saturdays seem to be the peek periods of suffering.
  • Taken on a second job and just work 7 days a week? If so did it help?
  • Did things improve when it was all finalised? Im getting worried that I wont come out of this.
