Actually perusing this subreddit I believe we as men have to lift our game. Some of the posts here are quiet childish. Click bateish by nature, negative in its delivery and hostile in its thought provoking commentary. Modern culture has a laser beam focus on anything to do with the manosphere and the impact it causes on others experience most notable the hostile feminist movement. We're under attack from all angles yet our missiles of defence should land correctly and not just an emotional sense yet in educated, collective movement.

We aren't being brigaded (yet), so at the moment I'd welcome any women, especially die hard feminists, who would like to provide their input on men's issues.

It'll either get downvoted to oblivion or get some constructive feedback from members, preferably the second.

Gotta chip away at the machine of feminism instead of creating an echo chamber among us. We already understand. We need others to.

Confrontation is important for any movement to thrive. If these feminists didn't "invade" this sub it'll be yet another echo chamber.

I guess this sub is different things to different people. I'm on your side. I don't see any utility in tolerating feminist shitposting. Others are convinced that allowing it serves a purpose. They think they can win brownie points with lurkers and fence-sitters by showing off how mature, level-headed and rational they are compared to our feminist harassers. Maybe. I'm skeptical, but at least watching them try to win that game could be entertaining. If they're right, I'll learn something. If they're wrong, I hope they'll be willing to revisit this question later.

I think it's time we stop deprecating the concept of the safe space. It is already a normal and accepted concept. For example, your living room is a safe space. Pillow talk with your wife is a safe space. Texts with trusted friends are safe spaces. Chats with your father are safe. Your nation's territory is a safe space for you. Gangs concentrate their soldiers in limited geographical areas in order to dominate those regions and thus carve out relatively safe places for themselves in the world. Bears may live in caves. Rabbits create burrows for their young. Squirrels hide their acorns in holes in the ground. The planet Earth and its tiny collection of man-made satellites are the only known safe spaces for life, bar none. Safe space is as banal a notion as you can find.

If you're a living thing, you are vulnerable and you require protection. I don't care how tough you think you are. The mere fact that you have skin on your body shows that nature itself is not impressed with your imagined invulnerability.

Dr. Warren Farrell, the father of the men's rights movement and the men's rights advocate who has no peer in the history of this world, himself recognizes the importance of safe spaces for men. In one of his books -- I think it was The Myth of Male Power, but I'm not sure now -- he points out that male-only social clubs once numbered in the thousands in the US, but feminists systematically eliminated most of them through sexual discrimination lawsuits. Today, women-only social spaces greatly outnumber men's, with ours being almost unheard of now.

By and large, we men are only permitted to associate with each other on the most limited, informal and ad hoc bases: at least it's not yet illegal for male friends to go to the bar together. We even get to have male-only bathrooms! Wow! Male privilege to the rescue, eh, gentlemen?

It seems to me that the deleterious impact of the loss of safe spaces on the health and welfare of men cannot possibly be understated. Never to be able to express oneself to other men in the absence of gynocentric pressure (from either men or women) is ultimately to lose consciousness of one's self as a man. As the underappreciated and sadly dormant men's rights thinker Fidelbogen used to say, the colonization of male space is ultimately the colonization of the male mind. Rare indeed is the man in 2024 who thinks his own thoughts, and not merely those he knows women want him to think. Some western societies have recently laid the groundwork to explicitly categorize independent male thought as violent extremism... and we don't even have enough independence of thought left amongst us to realize they're caging us as we speak.

Ours is an existential crisis. Women declared war on men, and we are losing that war badly. Today, they are just finishing the job they started decades ago. A thoroughly gynocentric culture and society profoundly injures men by the hundreds of thousands. Many are on their last tether. Not every setting can be a venue in which the war of life is waged. You don't greet refugees by handing them weapons and saying, "Quit crying, you wimp; get out there and fight." You give them shelter and sustenance and protect them while those who have already had their moment to recover go out and do the fighting for them.

If this subreddit cannot be the safe space that some men obviously need it to be, then I hope a few of us can try to create that space somewhere else.

Let’s not turn into the people asking for safe spaces. People who don’t like your views are always gonna bombard you. It happens with gun rights groups, it happens with trad groups, etc, you just gotta ignore it and do your own thing

A lot of male posters here bring in some of the worst things they can find out in the wild. Should they be censored too?

Let them come and be met with reason.

Let men show how amazing they are with being able to rise above these things and show leadership, logic, and respect.

Let’s not devolve into methods of toxic femininity such as extreme censorship and social ostracism or cancel culture.
