Let me preface this by saying that they might not be the best human beings ever, as puas / coaches often are. The people who's advice has most directly translated into results for me are John Anthony Lifestyle, Scotty from Good Looking Loser a.k.a Brian Harris, and Paul Janka. Interestingly, it all boils down to socializing like a normal person in a respectful way, while moving the interaction forward to the next step. And if you get a hard no, just move on to the next person, don't bother that woman who isn't interested or available at the moment.

Not sure about the current scene as I was married for a while and checked out for a few years. But traditionally "guru" just means you are good with internet marketing yourself online to men who go down the rabbit hole thinking they are unsuccessful with women. Much of their histories are quite questionable at best.
