Did anyone's wife get in trouble for misrepresenting things to the court

Mine lied about several things. Had a teary eyed moment where she talked about me withholding funds and being badgered by our child’s daycare. I brought receipts and proof that it didn’t happen.

In the end married twenty years and she got no alimony and I get to claim my kids on my taxes every year. I’ll take it. I did have to pay 70 percent of our bills. Most of which she ran up.

She lied about her income to get more child support. My lawyers subpoenaed her bank statements and I had to piece together her actual income from that. No real repercussions. She just didn’t get the support amount she was asking for. I’m still the bad guy for not paying what she initially demanded. Made me realize I’ve been way too honest and there are no reasons not to lie.

In my experience women don’t get in trouble for lying. That’s why they do it because as a society we protect women at all costs and they know there will be no repercussions.

Nope.

In my divorce, my exwife put down that she hadn’t worked in years and income was zero. In her signed affidavit of financial information. She was claiming she was too sick to work.

I had a cell phone pic of her previous year’s W2, when she worked for 6 weeks.

At trial, she stated under her lawyers examination, that she was too sick to work and needed alimony. We had that W2 as evidence. Her lawyer claimed it was a fake. But the judge forced her to, “under penalty of perjury,” state if that was her W2 or not. On the witness stand she had to admit that it was her W2 and she had been working.

The judge didn’t give her any repercussions for lying. But the judge denied her request for alimony.

The only person that’ll be in trouble is you if that didn’t get cleared up. That’s your kid until then…legally.
