Hey everyone, I checked out this subreddit and...

I'm just really curious as to why a lot of men here complain about feminism and women, when they live in a society that was built by men, for men, and is being run by men. Women everywhere are still extremely oppressed compared (Gender based violence, economic inequality, political representation, reproductive rights, access to education, cultural norms, societal norms, intersectionality, and legal inequality).

Your rights as a man are not at risk.

Yes, men experience prejudice, but they will never experience oppression or have their rights and freedoms taken away.

However, prejudice against men comes from traditional gender norms and societal expectations that were set by... MEN! (Gender norms, expectations, mental health stigma, violence and abuse, discrimination in education, physical expectations, discrimination based on sexual orientation, social isolation)

Men will never experience the same systematic and pervasive forms of discrimination and oppression that women do.

Feminism is not an attack on men, it is a movement for gender equality. EQUAL. THE SAME. Same rights and opportunities for both men and women. It is not about making women 'better' than men, or turning men into the oppressed ones. It is about providing full gender EQUALity in all aspects of life.
