I don’t think it really matters either way. Meeting in real life has a tendency to mean you met doing similar things which is good if they’re healthy things (gym, church, hobby) but it won’t save you from divorce lol. There is no perfect setup. Your story is similar to thousands of other men. I prescribe to just living in the real world for myself and chatting when it’s convenient and appropriate. At the end of the day “She’s not yours, it’s just your turn”. Just how it goes.

Tough call. I can speak from my experience and people I know, but I haven’t seen any studies on divorce rates with IRL meeting vs OLD. You also may have to consider unhappy marriages that stay married but should divorce to look at full success rates.

OLD does a great job of exposing people you wouldn’t normally see and helping the introduction to occur. I think people also run in to seeing too many options online and either hold out and keep looking for better, or always thinking there is someone better even after dating has started. Can lead to a more disposable relationship mentality.

But it all depends on the people. How serious they are. How much work each are willing to do for the relationship. Communication. And so on.

OLD has become saturated and usage has started to drop recently. I’m curious to see what is next.

I think it can go either way. I do know that social media absolutely plays a part. Especially how algorithms are built now.

You search one thing and your feed becomes everything about what you searched.

Shit I was talking about BigFoot the other day and I've been inundated with adds for everything Bigfoot.

Now imagine your spouse searches up divorce or I'm unhappy. Her feed will be everything divorce.
