There seems to be some people saying bars aren't good and that couldn't be farther than the truth. The best way to meet people is probably through an organized event such as a coed sport (in my experience). But in terms of a location that you just pop into, bars have people primed to be talked to more than any other place. However, not all bars are created equal. Here are a couple things you should look for in a bar:

  1. Is it too loud? If so, either try to go outside if they have an outdoor area or obviously choose another bar.
  2. Is the bar your age range? Some bars might lean towards an older crowd.
  3. Is the bar dominated by men? This can happen at certain sports bars or barcades. Both of which are fun but have less access to women.

I saw some commentators saying bars are bad and I could not disagree more. People are dressed up, social, and drinking. What else can you ask for? Plus, they have TVs playing if you are scraping for something to talk about.

P.S. One of the best reasons the bar table itself within a bar is great is because you're sitting next to people rather than across from them. Sitting next to a girl is a much more natural way to initiate physical contact. She makes a joke, you banter back while playfully taping her on the shoulder or leg for example.

P.S.S. Don't be afraid to bar hop if the bar you are at dies down. This just makes the night more fun and memorable honestly.
