Just got dumped from the girl I was dating for 5 weeks. Obviously a cakewalk compared to going through a divorce. But it’s still making me feel a bit confused. Was only like a week ago where she was saying how much she liked me constantly. Then she cuts back communication after we have a misunderstanding regarding Me Too. I call her last night and she calls it off for a couple of reasons. Originally, it was pretty standard different life places (whatever that means). I said it sucks that it feels like this happened because of a misunderstanding. She said it was more than that and she could tell me more if she wanted. I said yes. She said:
1) Different dating experience (I don’t understand why that matters)
2) The kid being something that was originally a dealbreaker but she was willing to see if she could look past but couldn’t (totally understandable)
3) On our most recent expensive date, I mentioned my dad said the company would pay for a nice date we were going on. I work for my dad and he just wanted to do me a solid, I didn’t ask for that. She apparently didn’t like that.
4) Most surprisingly of all, she said she wants a guy that will rent out a yacht lol.

Just sucks after being told she wants a good man after her bad ex-husband and then that seemingly not being true. I know this is a bit ridiculous because it was only five weeks but I’m just trying to take some lessons out of it.
