Society is gynocentric.

Politicians cater to the women’s vote.

Feminism is far better at propaganda, has more money, etc. Feminism monopolizes gender discussions in education. Almost every college has women’s studies programs dedicated to indoctrinating students with feminist agenda. Then there’s DEI, etc.

The broader MRM still has some weight and power, take a look at the minority MRMs.

It's very telling that even some of the most niche women's rights movements are still bigger than the broader men's rights movement.

Why does it seem MRM is the lone type of advocacy that is universally mocked by everyone else?

Acknowledging men's suffering and seeking to end it runs counter to the visions and goals of both progressives and conservatives. In their views men subsidize all other aspects of (a gynocentric) society. That is their perfect role and nothing can/should change that. If men are allowed to shrug off that yoke then neither group has anything to replace them. To continue the beast of burden analogy: everyone is arguing over which crops to plant, but the idea of freeing the plowhorse to make its own decisions is as preposterous as it is dangerous.

Or, if you prefer: children may argue over where dad should take them to eat but if he closes his wallet you'll see them unify very quickly around the idea that he better at least take them somewhere good if he wants to avoid a collective tantrum.

Because it's genuine. All the hostility the MRM faces is evidence of the discrimination men face. All the various megacorps and governments that support feminism is evidence of the fact that the feminist victim narrative is fraudulent.

After a decade in this space I think I know why our movement is so isolated.

Because so many of us don't know that the enemy is misandry and we instead alienate allies by saying that the enemy is women.

IMHO It's really that simple.

Because unfortunatrly we're lumbered in with the extremists... and most people lack the critical thinking skills or nuance to understand the difference between believing in equal rights for men, and wanting a Handmaids Tail-esque culture. It's almost like they're so used to thinking in extremes, they can't fathom that most of us don't think like that.

I would say it's mostly the fact that women are so inherrently priviliged in society that the mere mention of a movement to try and gain at least some form of justice for men and boys is immidiatelly attacked and those in power will try to ensure it never gains any siginificant traction.

MGTOW’s message of don’t get married has made it so that less men than ever before are getting married and the main contention of men’s rights is divorce and everything else seems somewhat secondary

Men in the manosphere undoubtedly lean right. And this can be seen with content creators of the manosphere. The rise of global nationalism has drawn attention away from how horrible gynocentrism is, and some would see the right’s attempt to return women to their traditional roles as an answer to feminism especially by reversing feminist legislation.

Because you can't free men from gender roles without collapsing civilization, and you can't force women back into gender roles while they represent the majority of suffrage in every first world nation.

Because the movement alienates a lot of men that want to participate, ironically by not taking certain problems seriously and including a lot of woman-hating which turns people away from it.
