You probably DONT know the theory by heart. Every time i talk to a guy who says this, i ask him a few questions and he quickly realizes he's read a lot, but doesnt actually know a lot of basic fundamentals.
If youre not approaching 20-50 women per week, that should be your first priority. It's like asking why am i not losing weight going to the gym once a month and eating like garbage?

The environment is not limiting you when there's 250 K inhabitants..that's more than enough. There must be hundreds of bars / nightclubs in a city that large. You can also do daygame on ANY street, mall, shop, café or park anywhere. So this about the location being an issue is just limiting belief.

You can't escalate beyond initial interaction. What do you mean by "escalate?" What are you trying to accomplish specifically? Instant date? Number? Kiss? Sex?

Give us an explanation / walk through of your typical interaction up until this point.

Your problem IS the theory. If you’ve run numerous trials without getting the desired “effect”, it’s likely the that the theory is flawed and not the experimenter.

That is in contrast to what pickup theory postulates despite it having many suspect maxims: “the three-second rule”, the taboo of the friendship zone, categorizing male/female interactions into different silos (day game, night game, club game, text game, college game, etc.); rules of how to stand, where to stand, and how to approach.

If a theory isn’t universally applicable at all times under all circumstances, it’s not “law” and any effect can be attributed to chance.

Think about it: all the successes of pickup theory may be due to randomness. Go to a library. Look at the hundreds of books on beating the market, systems to win at blackjack, how to lose weight, and how to have a guaranteed happy marriage.

What if the reaction of a particular woman to an approach is unpredictable, and like random walk theory suggests, independent of anything that came before it—including all the war stories of PUA gurus, the books you read, and “knowing the game by heart”.

It explains a lot, doesn’t it? You’re not doing anything wrong. Attraction, for all intents and purposes is unpredictable and random but, do not despair, the farmer’s down-to-earth wisdom that “even a blind pig stumbles on some corn” will see you through.

Use that frustration to focus on what your goal is in these interactions. To get them on a date? To have sex? Life rewards the bold and so do women. Be as bold and authentic as you can. Don't pretend to care about all the small talk stuff if you really don't care. Don't shower a woman with attention that's barely engaging in conversation. If you find her attractive and want to take her on a date, say so.

Sorry to tell you but even the most podunk city has a bustling scene you just don't know where it is because you don't roll in those circles. But it's out there and you can find it if you know how to look.

Move to LA or NYC. Hottest girls in the world. Hang out in one of those cities doing something comparable to what you do at home and you will get laid faster. Or if you were a smart guy in school then get a high end job or start your own business and life is way easier in these cities. You don’t have to make them your permanent locations, just hang out in these cities long enough to improve your skills and when you go back home it’ll be life on easy mode. You could even just continue traveling and you would be surprised at how much nicer the girls are in every other city.
