Patriachy conjecture means that all forms of feminism hold as self evident the innate nature of men as monstrous and women as victims. Misandry is at the core of the ideology.

Compare/contrast: mens rights advocacy is the noun of the verb (advocacy -> to advocate). If you advocate for rights for men, you are a mens rights advocate. There is no ideological requirement, only an action.

The issue arises when the general public encounters these people and assumes that the entire men's rights movement is like those false activists.

Generally speaking, the general public don't encounter the mens rights movement. Most commonly, people encounter feminists, who are only too happy to tell them just how evil those MRAs are - they hate women, donchaknow!

but you cannot discredit the entire movement based on a few bad advocates.

You can, however, dismiss an entire movement if it's based on ideological premises that are false and justify hatred.

this is a clear false dichotomy phallacy: there is no such thing as an "MRA ideology", but there is a feminist ideology starting from the French revolution, concretizing in the first wave of suffragettes, arriving to the actual fourth wave of intersectional feminists, with an entire catalogue of theories/dogmas and actions committed in politics and the socio-legal enviroments in every single western countries in the last 150 years. the Duluth Model or the spanish legal reform of 2004 made by the socialists are the perfect examples of this. so, the "real" feminist is the feminist which supports these things(and yours is a no true scotsman phallacy too), the "real" MRA does not even exist cause there is no ideology and set of movements to confirm if a person is a "men's rights activist" or not. same with antisexists, they are pragmatic people, not ideologized ones.

This is objectively wrong. Feminists who openly and proudly hate men are often rewarded, celebrated, published, followed, and elected to leadership positions.

While on the same hand, no notable feminist (leader, activist, scholar) ever condemned feminist hate of men.

Hate of men is an integral part of feminism.

I think there is a lot in what you say, both in men's rights and feminism. Some use it as a vehicle for hate, which has nothing to do with promoting rights for a group, quite the opposite.

I seen some odd shit on men's rights groups and some odd shit on a feminist groups. I had a look at a radical feminist group, my reaction was to actually get quite annoyed and start to think of them in a negative way. It was all I hate men, men are all evil etc etc. I found myself getting really quite negative about all feminism. I suspect if it was a more reasonable group I'd be like ok, yeah you go for that.

Crazy misandry destroys feminism and just puts people off with a negative backlash, I mean we all know this right, sure many of us have felt that. Well, guess what, it works in the other direction too.

Think about it. How can one group saying we want equality on issues we are disadvantaged, be against another group doing the same? But hate just creates hate.

I agree but not on the many part.

Some people confuse men rights activism with general anti-feminism and there can be an overlap with genuine misogynists (Andrew tate types), conservatives, traditionalists etc. Especially online and even on this sub a few times I had to report genuinely misogynistic and sometimes even racist takes. In fairness those comments did get deleted and it is good some discussion can happen unlike feminists spaces where they will just kick you out and ban you. The fact those comments get deleted shows that the sub itself isn't racist/misogynist its just the idea we are anti-feminist can attract other people who aren't really in it for equality for men.

Its supposed to be equality, not male version of feminism. But they are very small numbers compared to the other commenters.

Not speaking highly of women doesn't mean misogyny. Some people who come on this sub to argue sometimes get that confused.

I agree you can't discredit a movement because of a few bad apples. However if the movement defends or tries to justify those said bad apples then they are just as guilty. Such as feminists trying to dismiss false allegation concerns, making up excuses for women abusers, trying to 'educate' men on how they shouldn't be offended by KillAllMen, the man or bear question, women screaming at gender reveals when they have a boy etc.

Feminism seems more like a few good apples situation...and those feminists are attacked by other feminists being called pick me's and all sorts of other stuff.

It's hard to fight for mens rights when the general consensus pretends that they have all the rights that women don't.
