So I've been trying to cold approach lately but it's not working out too well.

I haven't approached anyone so far. It happens so quickly when I see someone on the street who I find attractive, she usually just walks by and I have "no time" to react. Though there were times when I could've easily made my move but I didn't, even though we even had eyecontact for a short time and I knew what I wanted to say. I just didn't end up doing it.

I usually go out with full of confidence and etc., but then I just chicken out when the time comes. Maybe because I imagine in my mind a perfect scenario instead of a real one idk.

What's your experience? What flipped the switch for you?

Side Note:
Funny thing is when I lived abroad and started doing cold approaches it happened waay earlier to talk to girls. Now I moved back to my home country in the capital and somehow it seems way harder. (it wasn't like full on pick up but I broke the ice a few times)

Here home I also did the asking for directions warm up staff and I don't find it hard at all.

Thank you for your answers!
