Honestly, this makes me want to destroy women's leagues and make them compete with men and consequently get nothing.

Now, I don't really mean that because not all women are the same and I don't believe in blood guilt/group punishment, but that is what the people who say that shit deserve. They are literally benefiting from privilege, protection, and kindness, and then cursing the people suffering and labouring to give it to them.

I think this is why media is kind of messed up. I'd imagine most of those comments were from people who only clicked on it to see a woman kick ass. Doesn't matter how, doesn't matter why. I'd imagine "Female protagonist / female lead" media gets some attention off that alone.

Look, I'll be the first to admit I used to do that a lot. Girl gamer, girl advocate, girl anything I like? Heck yeah, easy click! But the difference is that I didn't click on any of that to "stick it to the man" or anything like that. But I genuinely think that's what some of these people are doing. And seeing the women they came to see brought down in any fashion is like guys having their favorite female personality say they're married or whatever...

I also think it's telling how hateful it gets when women excel at something and the first thing they want to do is try it against men. We could have bonded over something like this, but instead, you decided to go learn it over there, get good at it, and then bring it back for the sole purpose of beating men? Can't you just enjoy being good at it?

"Weapons" probably means kobudo, which is basically kata air drills holding wooden replicas of Okinawan weapons in your hands. I've done it a little and it's basically exercise that doesn't teach you much except memorizing those drills. You would learn much more in a fencing 101 class at a community college. Even more in HEMA if you can find a school in your area.

"Had my own school at 20" We don't know what this means but it might mean she ran a women's self defense seminar at the YMCA because nobody else wanted to do it, and she was the only martial arts student they knew. One of my instructors tried to get me to be the women's practice dummy, but that's a pretty good way to get banged up since most women, especially ones who have never been in a fight, think men are indestructible and you can hit them as hard as you want. I declined

I got asked if I was an "instructor" a couple of times here by mom types who probably wanted to dump their kids on me for a couple of hours to take a bubble bath or whatever. I declined because my rank was a couple notches below instructor level. I didn't just walk into the YMCA and tell them I was an instructor but I probably could have.

I met a judo guy at the YMCA here who was doing exactly that, and he had a bunch of little kids to shepherd in his class and sure wanted me to stick around, but I wanted absolutely nothing to do with managing little kids and trying to keep them from going crazy giving each other black eyes, then bubble bath wine mom suing me for $$$ like a True American

One of the most sacred beliefs that people in the west are indoctrinated into - especially on the left - is that of tabula rasa: the blank slate. In "nature vs nurture" they tend tend to over subscribe everything to nurture and minimize nature.

I understand why. It's a very comforting and maybe even healthy belief that we are all born with equal potential and that if we just fix inequalities in society then we will enter a utopian age, and going the nature route can be scary. Unfortunately, their belief is wrong, and like all mass hysterias it leads to quite a few absurdities, cognitive dissonance, and outright denials. This is most apparent when reality is most at odds with their false belief - which is the case when comparing the physicality of men and women. So you get all these false claims and unchallenged beliefs as you pointed out.

The only one that "may" not be super delusional is the one comment about women outperforming men in shooting sports, as it may or may not be true.

This is false too. There is actually a small male advantage in mean scores but there is significant overlap in distributions and top shooters are basically even. There are some differences by specific evens. They didn't separate them because women "outperformed men", it's structured that way because the IOC applies a sex-segregated event model as the default across the board.

Do people not realize how much its a lose/lose proposition for a man to fight a woman. If the man wins everyone shrugs and calls you a coward for not fighting someone your own size, if the woman somehow wins she gets to take an extra victory lap and dunk on you for losing to a woman. No matter what happens its bad news for the man.
