Not asking for the number or any contact details is bizarre.

You’ve told her you want to get to know her and then just walked off and not given yourself an opportunity to do so. You could probably recover it easy enough, but you’re now asking the internet whether she showed any interest when you could’ve just asked for her number there and then, and had your answer.

She might not have asked for your name because it was just so sudden, or she’s taken and so can’t inquire, but you’ve introduced yourself and gotten over that hurdle! No need to rush for her number because in these kind of setup you get to see the girl regularly. You can build up momentum the next times you see her, but you need to make your interactions longer.

You gave her a head-scratching moment instead. “Hi. I think you’re pretty. I’d like to get to know you. So long.”

I’m not a fan of approaching at your gym where you both are regulars. Cause now if it doesn’t go well, before you work out, the both of you are gonna be thinking for fucks sakes. This person’s gonna be there.

The next time you're both at the gym at the same time you'll know for sure whether she's interested based off her eye contact and body language when she sees you. Just give her a smile and if she responds positively you should go for it.

Why you'd just introduce yourself and then not stick around to talk a bit longer. While you could've asked tor the number it seems a bit premature to do so so abruptly after introducing yourself

Update #2:

Before telling you guys what happened I want to start off by mentioning that I have been working on my confidence and approaches these past 2 days by doing a few practice cold approaches over the weekend and I can say that my confidence has went up good

Alright now This is what happened

I came to the gym ready to make my 2nd move on my gym crush and unfortunately she was not here only her friend was there. After a short while i approached the friend and told her

Me: Hey what’s up where is your friend X ?

Her friend: she didn’t come with me today she had to take care of her son why you wanted her to come?

(Turns out my gym crush is a probably a single mom😭)

I did not say anything negative about it or acted shocked I just went with the flow and said

Me: yeah of course i wanted her to come today where else am I supposed to get motivation to keep working out without her here haha

Her friend: haha i’m gonna tell her that now she has to come tomorrow then

Me: okay you better not i was only kidding but anyways have a good one okay

Her: okay what was your name btw?

Me: my name is X and you?

Her: i’m X

Me: okay have a good one X.

I honestly Idon’t feel the same for the chick anymore I just can’t see myself dating a girl with another mans son I do not know what to do now tomorrow since she probably thinks i want to see her tomorrow by now & i feel like a dick now. :/

It looks like this slow way actually works too but only in this situation it failed but it can work in other ones so I will leave this field report here for anyone who wants to use it or similar to it

The successful gym approaches I've seen involved building up rapport over multiple visits then asking for coffee or sum. But guess that can't be applied to all situations i.e. she may not go to that gym regularly

Next time when u see her, first greet her, say some stuff related to that day, and tell her that u got flustered so u couldn't asked for her number. If she hesitates then move on, change ur target. Game is game.
