When you're non possessive you subcommunicate abundance - you convey that you not only have options, but that you do not need to 'posess' anyone for attraction to develop - this makes you naturally attractive because you allow space, but also you are not perturbed or concerned that you will lose that person. This funnels back into preselection and even goes as far as making you different - not just different superficially but I would argue different fundamentally - most guys sadly are possessive, or come across that way eventually - even in messages.
