It’s really about a hierarchy of being “oppressed”, you get status by being more oppressed than others. So don’t worry men, you can be an autistic, dyslexic, 2 spirit, working class immigrant and outrank most women. At least for a few years at some woke college, and before the real world intervenes.

What you're describing is more like Critical Theory. Intersectionalism is just one part of it.

Intersectionalism is about getting bonus oppression points for belonging to more than one "marginalized" group, such that your total oppression is greater than the sum of its parts.

That is not at all what insectionality is nor should it be ended because it is reality.

For example intersectionality pokes holes in women's victim mentality as well as disproves stuff such as women claiming they were the most oppressed when a rich, white woman was the top of society compared to a poc or working class man.

Or how early feminists only wanted the rights for white women.

Intersectionality isn't reverse racism, it doesn't even have to be race specific.

Removing intersectionality would be extremely dumb because then you will have people saying stuff like Scarlet Johanson is more oppressed than a 9-5 worker who can barely pay rent on his own.

Or that a woman is more oppressed than a disabled man.

Intersectionality is very much needed because the world is nuanced.

So for example indigenous men don't just have to deal with the biases against men and the biases against indigenous people, they have to deal with them both at the same time which can combine to make things even worse for them. For example they have very low rates of higher education but very high rates of incarceration.

The other problem with this is that they're applying this to kids. Or worse, they want to take out revenge on kids for what happened to women/PoC's/etc in the past. This is absolutely disgusting. They see no problem with it and they're proud to do it.

Intersectionality is the concept of being privileged in one area but dealing with oppression in another.

For example, a woman may have privilege for being white, but oppression for being blind or deaf or deals with the challenges of only having one parent. Or a man may be marginalized for being black, but has the benefit of being able-bodied or growing up with both healthy parents.

Intersectionality is to understand that even if a person has some societal privileges, there is a likelihood that they are struggling with something that needs space made for, rather than assuming oppression and privilege are 100% one or the other for each person. For example, if I assume you are a man, that is generally considered a privilege, but I also need to acknowledge the oppression of having fewer resources for emotional support systems and more likely to be dismissed for discomfort or pain or not feeling listened to when you’re hurting.

Intersectionality needs to be separated from dualism, and instead use multiplicity or relativism, which basically mean that multiple things can be true at the same time instead of one or the other.
