A 32 year old woman was sentenced to just 100 hours of community service and two years probation after she stabbed her 26 year old boyfriend to death, and stabbed her dog.

The woman claimed that her actions are a result of cannabis induced psychosis after taking two hits from a bong. A psychology "expert" reviewed police footage and claims that she isn't making it up. Let me know what you all think, personally I'm pretty dubious of her story. I've smoked a lot of weed around a lot of different people and I have never once seen anyone go asylum level crazy from it. Something else I found interesting is that she was dating a younger man and had only been dating him for around two weeks when she killed him. Maybe it's possible that she did have a genuine psychotic episode that was made worse by the weed, but I'm inclined to believe a man in the same position would not be shown the same leniency. In the end she was convicted of involuntary manslaughter.
