Ever since I started taking steps towards becoming more feminine, I’ve noticed a shift in the men that ask me out. They’re more traditional and masculine, but I still have some habits back from my old ‘feminist’ days that I’m struggling with!

I follow some dating coaches on YouTube and the suggestion is to offer to pay for half, but allow the man to pay for dinner, and then pay for the dessert/coffee afterwards.

But in my experience, the men that I date now all seem to get really turned off when I paid for the dessert/coffee afterwards. It was already awkward when I pull out my purse after the dinner bill arrives, and by the time we to go to a cafe, my offering to pay seems to seriously turn a man off.

I don’t think I’m insisting, but I do say ‘I can get this one’. Should I not offer? Because I’ve been on three 2nd dates with 3 different guys and every time after I paid for coffee I never heard back from the guy again (I usually let a guy pay fully for the first date, and then start offering to split on the second)

Were these guys just not a match, or was I behaving in a masculine manner?
