I (21F) really love my bf (54M) and he's a really great guy. However, sometimes when I say no to sex he beats the shit out of me and threatens to kill me (he had a traumatic childhood). Other than this one small thing he is absolutely perfect! What should I do?

I'm super grateful to y'all for this sub's content and feeling of sisterhood.

Before this, I'd be the girl above. The internalized gaslighting was way too real. "Am I overreacting????" I'd ask constantly, while being treated like literal shit.

Now I don't give LVM the time of day. I can feel my self-respect rising every time that I do it and my peace increase, and it gives me more time in my life for hobbies and self-improvement. Plus, I'm saving so much avoiding the sunk cost of NEW TRAUMA from LVM!

I've definitely noticed the large age gaps. The woman is usually younger, early twenties and the man in his mid to late thirties. Age is not just a number, it screams grooming and trying to manipulate. In regards to some of the titles/threads and their content.. i just wonder if the posters read what they type before they post and actually think that their relationship is healthy.

Honestly, it's easy to laugh at but these women have been MINDFUCKED.

I've been there. The gaslighting and abuse really makes you question your own sanity.
