Especially if they're pretty and have other options. The cute ones have an army of deep-pocketed gentlesir jagoffs offering steak dinners, plus their pick of alpha types at least as cool as you. Unless you've had a bunch of dates and gotten physical, you're just some cell phone guy. She had a better offer from Chad (or sometimes a legit reason). It's not personal.

Those "ok" messages rekindle more than you'd think. You establish that you're a chilled-out busy guy with options that won't take away her ability to excuse herself. That's classy. She'll feel it.

Always have someone you're chatting breezily with on Kik or Tinder or whatever to avoid feeling bad about this.
