Story time. A little longer than I'd like, but it plays out in a typical fashion. I have a real good friend. For the benefit of the story, let's call him "Guy". (Like Guy as in a male not Guy as in a Frenchman)

We started working together about 11 years ago. We clicked immediately. Not so much friends outside of work but when you work with someone for that long, you develop a pretty close bond.

Now Guy is the stereotypical nice guy. I swear when I read the book, I was reading his life story. The type of guy who wants to be a good guy. The type of guy who would feel bad if he made a woman at work lift something that she cleary can lift and is part of the job description. The type of guy who is a door matt to get walked all over by family (both biological and in law). The type of guy who is very conscious of how he is perceived by people in general.

With that said, Guy is also very aesthetically pleasing. Genetically gifted if you will. 6' tall, naturally built chiseled face and very handsom. An 8/10 when he gets up in the morning.

Guy always confided in me. It's a natural skill I possess I suppose. People always tell me their problems. Like I'm some kinda therapist or some shit. Probably what I should have done for a living actually, but whatever, life is life.

He would talk to me alot about his last girlfriend. She was pretty good at manipulating him. He would complain about his mistreatment, but when I would utter anything to the effect of "don't stand for that shit", he would freeze up. Anyway, she cheated on him and he went rogue for a while before finding his snowflake.

Let's call her "Gal". I went to school with Gal. She was very hot and still has some of that left (although the wall is rapidly approaching). When he told me they were seeing each other I thought "good for him". I really knew nothing about her, except that she had a fine ass and was very pleasant on the eyes. They get married shortly after that, settle down and have a kid. Things seemed to be going pretty good for Guy....

Then due to circumstances at work, a year ago I started spending a lot of time with Guy. As we had a lot of 1 on 1 time, I started seeing his problems. His in laws presented a serious challenge to him. Even the way he felt a need to be the man of the family and take care of his parents. Attempts to help my homie through coaching were befallen on deaf ears.

The worst problem of this was hands down with Gal though. She is a queen manipulator. The way she gaslights him is second to none that I have ever witnessed. Him being a nice guy makes this so much worse. She could convince him to phone into work, make purchases that were highly unreasonable and generally control almost every part of his thinking she wanted. The victem diarrhea he would spill on me about her was enough to make me vomit.

The worst of it started when Gal began working in close proximity of another dude. Let's call him "Ass" (becuase he is not even close to chad). She was spending a lot of time with Ass on the road during business trips. When this started, I questioned Guy on Ass's looks. The DEER showed me that he was deep down very concerned of this. Although his inherent nice guy syndrome made him feel bad for even having these thoughts. Both Guy's and Gal's families preached adultery.

This went on for a while and all came to a crashing hault. Ass wants Gal to leave Guy for him. She doesn't want to, involves Guy and everybody else too. It all becomes a huge cluster fuck of everyone giving him information (read ((mis))information) about what he should do. At this point I know whatever I say he will not accept anyway. I hit him with RP truths indirectly. No bites though.

The pressure mounts up on him and he decides to take his wife and kid halfway across the country. Leaving his mortgage, good paying job and everything else. This really hurt me. It shouldn't because every man is his own, but it did. I sent him a real heartfelt letter becuase I knew he would DEER me if it was said in person. He thanked me for all the advice over the years and left.

I now find out from someone else that one Guy's "apparently good friends" knew that Gal had total planned to leave Guy for Ass. So obviously she was catching the Ass cock on the "business trips". I guess once Ass started to show his beta through desire for her, she dried up. Again this shouldn't, but this really pissed me off. I know the dude who knew and when I see him I want to break his nose. Obviously getting charged is very unRP, so that won't happen.

I have a firm belief she is going to move back home with the kid pretty quickly and leave him out there making good money. She can then cuck him from halfway across the country for child support. At least that's what I would do if I was fuckin cunt. Funny thing is my wife came to the same conclusion on her own accord. You gotta think like the hamster sometimes.

The take away:

  • You can't help the ones who don't want to be helped.

  • Never let people's opinions affect your frame.

  • Even if your good looking, it doesn't mean your attractive. She'll swing a hypergamic branch to a man of lower physical appearance to be with a real man.

  • The obligatory AWALT.

  • You'd like to think your buddies would tell you if they knew your wife was cheating...

  • Most importantly, don't be like Guy.
