Game: keep conversation light. Be flirty, accuse, tease, be playful. You should be gaming all day, not waiting until one particular event. Have a plan after dinner, drive to Starbucks or whatever to get coffee without asking her. Be a man.

In the beginning, it was a bit weird taking wife out. I would plan things (what I thought she would like to do), and she would be an unwilling/bored/reluctant passenger on that night. I would be trying all sorts of things to keep her "entertained/happy'. Now I plan a night that I would enjoy, with or without her.

If you are organizing an evening, plan the night that you want to have (places to eat, places to go to), be prepared and organised (reservations, tickets, parking etc), dont be a complete jerk (if she is allergic to seafood, you dont take her to seafood place, because you feel like seafood). During the meals, you can simply talk to her about your day, kids, whats happening at work, something you saw on news, ask her opinion about things, etc (you are married afterall......) Show her, you are intelligent, have interests, and fun to be around. Not too dissimilar to going on dates. Sometimes they do their best to wreck the night, you can cut it short, take her home (or taxi) and continue with your night.

STFU - is a technique to handle tests. It does not mean you cut off all communication with your wife...

There are no quick shortcuts. Read sidebar, and practice...
