If she likes a particular item of clothing, or a hairstyle, try it out and see how she reacts. I actually read this while getting a tattoo. I am not sure you have the cojones to endure the process if you are that in her frame.

But I have been there. I have gotten a few when I was younger because a girl wanted me to. Worst mistake ever. Women, even your wife, are temporary. Tattoos are forever.

The first time I got one without talking to her about it, she was pissed. She asked me why I didn't discuss it with her. I asked her "Why would I? It's my arm. And it will be with me longer than she will."

I get tattoos for me. I don't tell her what I am going to do. I don't ask for her opinion before I get it. And certainly don't ask what she thinks after I get one. It's only discussed between me and the artist. You will get a lot of unsolicited opinions from others, but every one else can go fuck themselves.
