Backround: I've been lurking/posting since mid-April. I found this sub through Rollo Tomossi's blog which I found through a meme site. While at the time I didn't care about the sex because I was looking at porn all the fucking time, I could objectively look at myself and realized that I wasn't happy. I wasn't the best me. And if I didn't like myself then there was no way in hell my wife wasn't at minimum unhappy with me on a subconscious level.

So I stuck around for the self improvement. I've been lifting since end of April. I'm down ~25lb and I'm starting to hit my boredom, why bother wall. Even worse, I just started back with school last week, and while I'm staying on top of the classes I like. The one I think is boring as fuck I can recognize myself slipping back into the Omega behaviors that started the whole depression spiral that dropped me out of school a year ago. I've started getting back on meme sites in the last two days. While my gym routine hasn't slipped, I've had to drag myself there the last three days. Arguing internally with myself on whether it's worth it. I always feel better (at least partially) once I'm there and pumping iron or hitting the bag, but getting my foot in the door is starting to get more and more difficult.

So my question is how do you guys stay focused? How do you keep going once the thrill of a new discovery/experience starts to wear off.

Second question is what do you guys do for rest? Everyone needs a break of some sort every now and again. It's emotionally unhealthy to be "on" all the time. So what are some better ways than memes and games to take a break, and how to keep the break from becoming a wasted day?

P.S. I recognize all of the above is my fault. I'm looking for alternative behaviors and how to deal with/stop burnout boredom.
