Does Getting back with an Ex ever yield a positive relationship?

So, my ex has finally started to cave from no contact ( its been about four months). Badly. She thinks she loves me and all this other stuff. Its clear to me this is dangerous territory. I simply dont think it will work out a second time around and have no plans wasting my time on a failed relationship.

On the other hand, it was my favorite LTR ever. I just dont think its realistically going to be a positive experience doing it again, even if i make her work super hard for it.

Plan is currently to plate her until the plate breaks or something happens

thoughts?

Rollo probably analyses it better than most of us can.

It is one of his Iron Rules.

Keep sticking your hand on the stove, maybe this time you won't get burned

this is scarcity mentality from a thirsty man

In my case it didn't work. Things might get better in the new beginning, but gradually start to go back to the way they were before the break up.

Additionally, this question reminded me of something from NMMNG (chapter 7): "Finally, Nice Guys have difficulty getting the love they want because they spend too much time trying to make bad relationships work. [...] I often joke that, on average, it takes Nice Guys about nine attempts to end a relationship".

You can't ever relive a party or a relationship. Yeah she may have been your favorite LTR ever, but she's an ex for a reason. So plate her, if you can keep the oneitis away, as it's much easier to escalate emotionally. Also beware of the sunk cost fallacy, as it's easy to think "we had so much history". The past is gone, it holds no value on going forward.

The other side is that it's ok to celebrate past relationships. Yeah they were awesome. I've got a lot of ex-girlfriends, all lovely exciting women in their own regard, but they are in the past. They are part of who I became so that's cool.

The M in MRP is for "Married". You might get more replies to this particular question at TRP.

I personally never got back together with an ex, and am now married (have been for quite awhile). So I got nothing to say on the topic, other than good luck - trust your gut.

Well it depends, it worked for me.

Seldom gets better the second time unless something (like you or her) has fundamentally changed.

OH I never wear that shirt or jeans (whatever) cause it just feels wrong; I just don't feel like it works for me. Guess I'll wear it again today? OR I'll go buy another one just like it? Really?

My opinion based on my personal experience is that it is a classic rematch with someone that has clearly shown they did not care that much about you; and, there is a high possibility of physical injury or death. Just saying, be careful.

Same thing goes for life in general, yet we keep on going don't we?

You are 100% correct. And, yes, the bitch missed, luckily she only fired 8 rounds.

The Red Pill rule is that it is ALMOST ALWAYS easier to fire up fresh new pussy than to warm up an old, cold pussy. I would make a "Plate" rule that says something like, you only get to plate an X if you have other plates spinning at the moment and you can maintain your abundance mentality AND she is so desperate to lock you down she will tolerate you banging other girls.
