How do you deal with the fact that your SO might be spinning plates?

"Spinning plates" generally refers to men who haven't given a promise of monogamy to any of the women he's involved with.

If he's promised monogamy to you, and your'e worried about him violating that promise, that's kinda different.

If he otherwise actively demonstrates integrity in other parts of his life, you're likely good, but there's no way to be sure.

Successful open relationships, where you know about his / her other partner(s) and are comfortable with it or are possibly even involved as well, are possible but require pretty sensational communication and trust levels.

If he has offered you commitment but spins plates on the side, that’s not acceptable. If he offered you no commitment and you’re aware of this, you have no leverage to be upset.

In all honesty, do a better job vetting while improving yourself to be a woman worth committing to.

Vet your man better.

Presumably you have become a quality woman with a decent SMV and are able to attract and keep a gentleman with integrity and substance.

If you behave like a plate and tolerate plate treatment, you will attract men who prefer to spin them. It's that simple.

To be honest, I always raise an eyebrow when I hear that a woman has been introduced to RP by their SO (especially very early on in a relationship). There are men who read TRP and use the principles to "game the system", which isn't inherently wrong, but I'd tread carefully in attempting a relationship with these kinds of men. I also believe there are many men who use TRP as a crutch for their anger or insecurity towards women. I don't have any other context for your relationship, but the fact that you're feeling so insecure could point to a guy who's gaming you -- or maybe your hamster is just out of control. I don't really have any way of knowing based on this post -- just some things to think about.

Overall though, it just sounds like you're misunderstanding what you've read. Trustworthy men who have agreed to an exclusive relationship with a woman shouldn't be "spinning plates" anymore.

TRP teaches men to spin plates to keep their options open, but if the man thinks for himself he will be smart enough to know when he’s got a good one and it’s time to commit. However many TRPers take a hardcore approach to the doctrine and follow word for word without question. Those are the ones you have to watch out for

There are plenty of TRP aware men who choose not to spin plates. It's a praxeology, not an ideology. We take the parts that we like and leave the parts we don't. I don't spin plates and I don't have any plans to. I'm mostly in TRP for the personal growth aspects.

I don't, because he's not. Or at least he shouldn't be. We went through a phase where he might have been... Id rather be single than deal with that stress at this point in my life. You're either all in or all out, there is no gray area.
