Real talk, I haven’t been approached by girls (only two come to mind but that’s years ago). Should I accept that maybe I’m not attractive or should I take more of the initiative?

Let's get you over your fear. Start approaching everyone, women, men, old, young. Approach without any sexual intent. Have a short 30 second conversation, leaving a positive impression in their mind. Probably take a hundred approaches, which you can do in a week. There's no risk, no consequences for you, even if you screw up.

women only approach the hottest guys or at least if he is substantially hotter than she is. tall and muscly. i hate to tell you this but your height is whats holding you back. and average build isnt enough. im not saying you are simply "unattractive", but i doubt theres a single women that would ever approach you just for being 5'7. lifting is the best way to make up for your height in terms of looks but even then you probably wont be approached.

bottom line women DO approach but only if you are hot.

They pick up on vibes, and react to it, so if you dont give off those vibes, they dont react, hot or not. But a 6 wont pull this off.

I've gone to a bar with a better looking dude than me, let's call him Marty, and he got us in with a bachelorette party. But what floored him was that in the 2 hours while he was leading us and joking with those girls, I picked up 2 separate numbers from girls that weren't even talking to us.

I had:

social proof
was sober, my brain was on overdrive
having fun
casting glances, squinting, and grinning at a bored girl at the bar - close.

Why? All the proof she needed, showed interest nonverbally. So she could safely approach, but she knew she couldn't just grab me from my group.

Later a girl had just been approached by a guy with a cheesy line. She turned him down. She looked over at us having fun, and I caught her and gave her the hands open beaming grin like "hey, have fun". 5 minutes later and no attention from anyone, she walked up and wrote her number on my hand.

25 minutes later got a kiss right there at the bachelorette party at the bar just by eye fucking one of them.

Shooting fish in a barrel.

Marty got his by physical touch. He was holding smalls of backs, and picked one up, and had his hat borrowed (and returned)

None of this involved any pickup lines. Marty did our only cold intro, and it was as this party walked in he basically just said hi right off the bat and said we just got here let's get a table going.

As a few people have already pointed out, it's not very common for women to approach. If you want women to approach you, give them a reason why. What makes you any different, better, stand out to the tons of other guys about? You have to remember the amount of options most women have, so unless there is something stand out about you that people can grasp from the get go, why would they bother putting themselves out there to approach you when they know there are plenty of other guys willing to approach them? I know most people's answer on this sub is just 'lift' but I would say just don't be generic.

I consider myself to be a pretty decent looking guy. Decent face, tan skin, good muscle mass, and low bf%.

I can count on one hand how many times I've been approached by women in a clearly flirty/romantic way (not counting clubs/bars).
