So I know this couple. He's a regular dude, far from rich, not particularly handsome but not really ugly either. Some "alpha" qualities - except around his women, then he's totally "beta." What seems to be her main attraction to him is his artistic talent, he does some very unusual art, and makes a decent amount of money selling it. You can see she is quite fascinated by his art, loves to watch him create it, and it turns her on. It's some unique very masculine talent that this guy has, and that's what fascinates her and gets her aroused.

If she lived in a war zone, she likely wouldn't been all that particularly fascinated by this guy's artistic talents. Chances are, she'd be far more fascinated by some other guy's talents with guns, or his ability to dominate other men in his gang. What is interesting and fascinating about men is very dependent on the cirumstances, and women are nothing if not practical.

The typical manosphere complaint about hypergamous women that don't like "nice guys" is true - but honestly I think you are missing the point. "Nice guys" and "good providers" are not in short supply right now. They aren't particularly fascinating, beautiful - or useful. Yes, sure, we used to have a system where such men were given status, and women were perfectly happy with these men, as the status turned them on. But nice guys with good jobs who defer to women and want to "provide" for them are simply not the masculine characteristic that are prized right now. Other masculine traits are prized.

If you think all the "bad traits" are prized by women - you're just admitting and realizing that your particular masculine traits are no longer prized. One assumes the culture has simply passed you by. Because outside of the manosphere, plenty of men are in fact having sex and I can assure you they are not all Alpha Studs.

Good analysis of the issue, but be careful. The author's words seem to lean towards nerd-rage, otherwise known as "useless anger at the current state of the universe".

He is correct that the current marketplace rewards the douchebag archetype slightly more now than the responsible archetype as in the past, but only on a moderate level (The Dashing Rogue was always attractive to women. Witness the fact that while Stag Beetle males battle each other for dominance over a tree branch, interloper males sometimes sneak up and bone the female spectators). However--and this is a big however--I believe that either archetype can be executed with a dominant, masterful, flirtatious frame.

Don't give in to nerd rage. Simply observe the world as it is now, then select your personal mission accordingly. Do it with confidence, with full understanding, with zero regret, and inner calmness.

It's not just that you are getting leftovers, it's that you are spending your best time on this earth invested in some meaningless bullshit. Tack on a 60 hr a week job you at best tolerate and at worst hate, money spent on a bunch of bullshit to (ineffectively) impress women, etc. There is nothing quite like being young, exploring the world, taking risks to build a high-reward career because you can afford to fail, fucking when your hormones are at their max, and so on.

There's nothing quite like being young and high SMV / RP. Sure, we cling to our narratives of "plug away and live large when you are 40 and your diligent investing has paid off". When you are 35 your SMV will peak young man, just study now. And these are not wrong ideas - you should be diligently investing and you should work hard to build up a long term career that has security.

But you only get one life. Dump it into a bunch of bullshit, and you never get it back.

This is why I don't think there's much of a point to whining about feminism: it's not going away just because it's evil/wrong/illogical. It'll fade when it's disincentivized by guess who? Men. Women unbalanced the equation; now we re-balance it.
