The fedora is a big red flag that says, "I am unable to excel at the conventional paramaters of societal fashion and probably social anything." Hmmm. I have a nice Fedora that I wear fairly often and it has not seemed to stop me from getting laid. I get quite a bit of compliments on it actually. But then again this follows the rule of women don't like certain things from certain men. The right kind of guy comes along and that thing that they didn't like the all of a sudden love.

I am surprised I never knew this stereotype existed though.
