I know what you're saying, and I used to believe that. But The Eternal September Effect is stronger than our good intentions.

Just like the core message of the Red Pill, we need to be a "tough love" subreddit and take a hard stance on newcomer expectations. People who come here have to WANT to transform.

Making the subreddit more palatable to the weak won't prepare them for some of the harder truths that the Red Pill inevitably reveals.

I've commented before on why the rhetoric in this subreddit needs to remain at a high level of severity. The same rationale applies to newbies.

I'm not advocating outright hostility to newcomers. I am defending the standard of discourse that has made the Red Pill what it is. I will not compromise that standard of discourse for any reason.

If you want to play here, learn the culture of the subreddit. Lurk before you post. I'll gladly welcome any and all newcomers as long as they observe the rules and they don't fuck with the flow of things with their Johnny-Come-Lately, instant-participation, instant-gratification seeking behaviour.

I agree. The more open we are to newbishness, the more its going to dillute our message. In the last month I've already seen a serious decline in quality. That and borderline blue pill bullshit actually getting up voted! This sub maintains a binary philosophy. There is no "kinda red pill" or "red pillish " way to look at life. You either get it, or you do not. And lately I've been seeing a lot of people who haven't even accepted the most basic red pill truths trying to dispense advice, and honestly it really pisses me off.
