Amazing how she hamsters over the optimal time to get pregnant which was set by means she can't control (biologically) and she thinks she can simply reason her way out it.

[–]TRP VanguardCyralea 49 points50 points51 points 12 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

The inability to reliably have children after 35 is a social construct, duh.

[–]Haraklus 27 points28 points29 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Age and fertility are social constructs, duh.

[–]Modredpillschool 13 points14 points15 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

It's not just that- if I'm going to marry a woman, I'm doing so with maximum fertile years ahead. Can you have a kid at 38? Probably. Can you have 3 or 4? No?

[–]TRP VanguardCyralea 27 points28 points29 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Stop age-shaming shitlord! You just can't handle a woman who wants to have kids in her 40's.

EDIT: It actually pains me to pretend to be this obtuse

[–]Endorsed ContributorrebuildingMyself 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

And why don't you man up and take care of the three other kids she has from other men? Why are you insisting she have another kid that's yours? Shitlord?

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

omg i cant handle all these fucking shitlords in one place,im literally crying my eyes out

omg im just so offended right now!

Don't do what brings you pain, leave that for the blue-pilled masses.

[+]mutualaid -7 points-6 points-5 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Fertility doesn't actually drop off significantly until 40. Most 35 year olds will get pregnant within a few months of trying.

[–]WAFC 11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

However, the risk of an unhealthy child being born does increase by 35.

[–]un-affiliated 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

On my phone, but the chart of downs syndrome chances by year is scary as hell. Things drop off a cliff after 30.

[–]mutualaid 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It really only gets going between 38 and 40: http://www.aafp.org/afp/2000/0815/p825.html

[–]mutualaid -2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It increases every year, but the increases become most substantial after 40.

So by emotionally you mean when she becomes terrified of the premise that she could end up forever alone after the men she used to ride are going after girls years younger, fitter, tighter, and thinner and financially meaning she's got a beta provider lined up amiright? ;)

[–][deleted] 30 points31 points32 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Typical. She reads something. Sees it doesn't fit her personal choices and spends the rest of the article hamstering as if it were personally written as an assault on her. That's about 90% of feminist writing, turning it into a personal attack on themselves so they can whine about how opressed they are.

[–]The_Determinator 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If you're going to audaciously claim that 10% of all feminist writing actually isn't bitching and whining, you must also provide evidence.

It's fucking hilarious, aren't women oppressed? We are told they are... What was she doing dancing on the bar at 25 sucking as much dick as possible? :)

[–]Endorsed ContributorrebuildingMyself 16 points17 points18 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Being raped, of course

[–]un-affiliated 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Judging her for that behavior is oppression. If we didn't have a patriarchy, women would never have repercussions for any behavior. When it's smashed, the moment a girl takes someone else's dick out of her mouth, she's exactly the same as a virgin.

[–]Endorsed Contributor30303030303030 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Judging her for that behavior is oppression.

That's exactly my thought. Look at her hiding her past from everybody, because slut shaming is so common and hurtful ;)

After riding the cock carousel, she still gets a beta provider. That's the rule, not the exception.

And the world we live in, RPers

[–]jeebusthecat 31 points32 points33 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Well, it's schadenfreude, but we can take solace in the fact that these women aren't happy, are becoming unhappier by the year, and more and more of them are ending up spinsters.

To me, TRP is about taking control of your happiness and not letting others, especially women, dictate your life.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Thank you!

[–]jeebusthecat 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You're welcome! I often find myself jealous of the average 20something woman (i.e., attention, validation, excused bad behavior, free shit, sex on demand, etc.) until I realized how downright miserable most of them are. They love showing the world how wonderful and exciting their lives are on social media, but get to know most of them and it's just emotional misery. They let man after man wreck them. They focus so much on how other women perceive. They're in constant competition with both women and men. They waste so much energy on drama.

They're insatiable and self-destructive without a traditional man who actually wants to commit and keeps them from going into a downward spiral. 99.9% of men can't or simply refuse to fulfill that role.

The irony is that most aren't stupid. I know lots of smart mid/late 20something women who are already panicking about the impending wall. However, they're addicted to being bitchy. Feminism is like a drug. It's too easy to be bitchy and get quick fixes whenever you want. How are you supposed to stop? Meanwhile, their desirability as a partner plummets.

I now look at feminists and bitchy women like junkies asking for change: addicts who deserve sympathy despite their bad choices even though there's really nothing I can or want do for them.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I agree with you completely. The frustrating part is knowing that these 20-somethings and early 30-somethings are all getting the attention, validation, excused bad behavior, free shit, sex on demand, from our peers, brothers, and friends - and there is nothing we can do about it. And if I am to refuse, I am likely to be looked at disrespectfully because I won't bow down.

A great example is a girl that my friend is infatuated with. She's 23, beautiful, charismatic, etc. She also can't commit and she pulls this card with multiple men simultaneously and they all give into her awful manipulative behavior so they might get some action.

And this is all validated by our elders as well. Our parents allow them to be manipulative, inappropriately aggressive, demanding because they are constantly confusing these qualities with other qualities that would ensure their success in their career, dating, etc.. They have raised a generation of princesses who justify their awful behavior with this continued unbased sense of perceived deprivation.

And becuase it takes two to tango, we as men shouldn't standby and let this behavior continue. As brothers, fathers, and friends, this behavior should be checked. For the sake of everyone.

[–]jeebusthecat 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, we do our part. Again, despite the groveling and entitlement, they're not happy. They like groveling betas but they don't actually want them.

They're rare, but I have met women who get massively turned on when a man puts them in line. One of my exes couldn't hold her liquor. One night, I told her to stop acting like a child, that she's embarrassing both of us, and if she didn't get her shit together, I'd leave. She promptly apologized, sobered up, and asked me to rail her later that night.

[–]TRP VanguardHumanSockPuppet 14 points15 points16 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I was grabbing myself a big ol' handful of life whilst trying very hard not to create it, because that wouldn't have been ideal. For me.

What I'm telling you in a rather roundabout fashion is that 58% of the more than 5,000 people surveyed -- the ones who say women should have children in their late teens or early 20s -- are just plain wrong.

And I'm grabbing myself a big ol' handful of life whilst trying very hard not to weigh it down with cougars who are too old, too jaded, and too entitled to entertain my fantasies.

What I'm telling you in a rather direct fashion is that 100% of women who say that men should "man up" and date women past their prime are just plain wrong.

[–]updock 27 points28 points29 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So what if women are more fertile in their 20's than in their late 30's?

JAGERMEISTER BITCH

I'm actually more bothered by this:

4 too many shots of Jäger

Any journalist worth their salt should know that numbers ten and under should be spelled out, not represented numerically.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

haha good catch mate!

[–]TheeRyanGrey 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Think about how ass backwards this thinking is:

You're going to have kids when your fertility, energy, and recovery time are in steep decline? At the point in life when having a kid is MOST detrimental to your career because you're already heavily invested in it?

Doesn't it make more sense to have a kid in your 20s and then have a career later than the opposite?

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Doesn't it make more sense to have a kid in your 20s and then have a career later than the opposite?

I saw a piece on here directed at feminists that focused on that very point. It makes much more sense, but that doesn't mean any feminist women are going to do it. To do so would mean that (in their minds) they're inferior to men. They must prove that they can do the same things we do, even if it means growing old and barren and regretting it forever.

[–]TheeRyanGrey 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

and this is why i stopped discussing feminism.

i love women, but if they want to destroy themselves and fuck me silly in the process i'm not going to say no

[–]parkitmister 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Generally yes, but not for a woman in journalism. Especially if she was working for TV (FOX and ABC) she had to make a name while she was still hot.

[–]TheeRyanGrey 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

in this case she's literally choosing a job over kids

probably why I never met a happy journalism major in college or after it.

they banged like it was going out of style but lordy not a keeper in the group.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's what I would think, I read a couple of stories on here how peoples mothers raise their kids until there either in high school or college and then go to work

[–]TheeRyanGrey 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

work, college, degrees will always be there. jobs and school aint going anywhere.

your youth, energy, recovery rate, and most importantly fertility are fleeting.

[–]SnakeInTheAss 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Ooooh 10 hour work days! That's so much.

Except most of the guys I know work 12-14 regularly.

'Emotionally ready' is a hypergamy based reframe? Perhaps It means - hamstering in the face of the wall, or, that she is horrible at relationships and rationalizing after the fact of riding the plough that was her 20's. Or both, whatever. I kinda feel sorry for the father. These type of 'emotionally ready' women lack strong male direction in their lives. Or when it presented itself they spat at it.

[–]LadyLumen 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

One argument I will make here is that people are living longer, therefore people are doing things later in life. When people had a shorter lifespan, having children in your late teens/early 20's made more sense. Yet now that life can be stretched out longer, people are also stretching out the phases of their life longer.

I agree that there is a certain biological reality to child-bearing. However, most women these days have one or two children, not five. Therefore, popping out your one or two kids in your 30's is not so bad. The large risk for having a child with health detriments occurs more when a woman is in her late 30's or early 40's.

My other argument is that it is good that women are having less children, because the world has too many people anyways.

However, I don't condone the whole socially permitted idea that you must drink and sleep around when you're young. I think such behavior turns you into an emotional cripple. I think it's better to date a variety of people (without sleeping with all of them), have interesting life experiences (travel and education) and then get married when you're in your mid-late twenties, and then pop out a child in your late 20's/early 30's when you are more emotionally mature to deal with that child - or don't have a kid at all, that's fine too.

[–]FortunateBum -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Besides the circle jerk that has developed from this article....

I actually think this is a good article that highlights the benefits of living a full life prior to dedicating one's life to children, if ever.
