Hey gents;

Just wanted to make sure I’m on base here. Been seeing an LTR for the last 5 months or so - we spend about 3-4 days/evenings/weekends a week together. We are both busy professionals with our own places.

As background: While I’m well aware that AWALT, to varying degrees, she is better than most. F38, market value of 7/10, (8.5-9 in her 20s). She definitely is not gold digging as she discussed her requirement for a prenup very early into the relationship - which I found refreshing. Sex is good and plentiful; 3+ times per week. Basically on every meeting. She is supportive overall and limited drama - very logical for a woman. Works very hard at a primary career plus a side job. Minor shit tests and a few minor red flags.

I currently don’t have any other plates (last 2 months) as she got promoted to an LTR; nothing better has crossed my path.

Situation: We had standing plans to have dinner at her place; I made some minor arrangements in my schedule so this could happen. Minor plans after work; nothing major.

24hrs before she calls - “Sorry, sorry, sorry; don’t be mad- I accepted another shift.....”. Recently she had some unexpected repairs and wants to pay them down ASAP. Obviously plans got canceled.

My response was that I understood, was disappointed as I enjoy spending time together, knew that she has financial obligations that needed to be met, and we’d see each other on the weekend.

I guess I had a little disappointment in my voice.

She called back within 2 min and insisted on taking me out to lunch - her treat - for the afternoon of our cancelled date. (Ignore the lack in logic of spending money on lunch and going in for extra work; she makes enough to be ahead)

She genuinely seems sorry. This is a first occurrence of this type of behaviour.

Did I keep frame? Anything more I could have done or should do from a RP perspective?
