Instead of discussing all the ways men and women have differing or competing “individual” interests, can we think about and discuss all of the “common” and “shared” interests between men and women?

I dont think this sub views male/female relationships as zero-sum. Maybe a lot of the men do, but most of the male regulars seem to believe LTRs can be a net positive for both parties. And of course all the women here appear quite satisfied in their relations with men (and smugly so).

For how much this place goes on and on about mutual hostility between the sexes, and the fundamental incompatibility of our sexual imperatives when taken at their purest most distilled extremes, what's abundantly clear is that men and women are meant to get together. We wouldnt all keep coming back if this weren't true.

There's no reasoning for it. No logic. It's all prerational, instinctual, subcortical. It simply is, in all of its pure, inarguable, brute facticity.

Shared interests, shared interests, ummm I met a trekkie once? She had outfits and vulcan ears :) We watched a lot of Scifi together. It's kind of my fantasy to meet a chick that plays EVE so that we can dominate together, but you know she has to be hot too.

Value Creation... Value Creation with women... what the hell, I can't even fathom it. All women I've known, worked with, have found ways to make life or the job harder than it actually is.

Oh I remember, shoot one of my fondest memories. I was with my ex at the time. I worked on campus in the math center. It was finals week and a brutal day, I'm talking grown ups crying because they can't learn a chapter of math in an hour. Completely draining to the point where I was walking dead. Then I had to go do my own final. I get home and my ex is there with sushi from my favorite sushi place. She let me be and went to practice her violin in the other room. I'm sitting at the kitchen table, my place filled with beautiful music, eating my favorite food; I felt my stress completely go out of me. I could literally feel myself become more content by the minute. In that moment I realized that my hard work was completely validated, completely worth it.

If only every day can be like that, but it never happened again.
