Why are people so against fatherhood? Less fatherhood in America equals more violent society. Single mother’s children are more likely to be woman beaters.

men's jealousy occurs in humans because this isn't true. unlike most apes, human males have helped protect and raise children as a default setting since the beginning of civilization. the modern scourge of absentee fathers is a social construct.

TLDR fathers don't count because they don't "biologically" act like a mother thus are fake. I've been saying this for years, some of these clueless women will fail men for being defective women.

I thought there was some support for the idea humans have evolved to pair bond (and engage in serial monogamy?) and men to invest in their offspring since human babies have a better chance of survival that way. If that’s true it would not just be socialized, it would be both.

Lower-income women are choosing more and more to parent on their own because they feel less stress without a man than with one. If men would actually parent/husband, that is, be fathers, help around the house, contribute, etc, this would not be the case. Instead you see men who act like children, wanting to be waited on when they get home IF they even have a job.

A co-worker of mine is getting a divorce because in the last 10 years her husband has been employed for 2, doesn’t do any housework, doesn’t do any work on the house, doesn’t help with their daughter. She doesn’t want him to earn more than her, she just wants him to have a job, or to do something other than play on his phone all day.

My prediction is that soon the concept of the biological father will cease to exist almost entirely in western societies, especially if something like UBI is provided by the state.

Isn't it already something like 40% single motherhood (at least in the US)?

The norm for the hunters-gatherers was probably not that one man provided for one woman. It was that all men provided for all of the children of the tribe. The concept of the biological father generally didn't exist as we know it today.

Define "the norm" here because as far as recorded history goes, we are talking dawn of civilization, it matters.

I'd argue pre history is no different. If men were cooperative like that, you would see that in current behavior.

I'll work with other men for my children like they work with me for their children, but I'm not working for the tribes children. I don't give a shit about them beyond normal human decency.

if you look at everything in terms of biology, evolution, science, of course you're gonna find an explanation for every goddamn thing. so, because men are 'designed' to spread as many seeds as possible = fatherhood is not natural

so how is kissing natural? well, just because it seems superfluous to your limited logic it doesn't mean it's artificially, 'deliberately' created for some agenda other than itself, and hell, what's even the difference. just like people who say plastic is unnatural. where did plastic come from then?
