RMV wise? Sure. I work an important job in a corporation that many people are impressed simply by the name of the company and what I do (not like the company is all that great in terms of how it treats people, but the pay is good and benefits are outstanding). It goes into being seen as a good partner.

SMV? Nada.

Good careers =\= interesting or sexy careers. Yes being a doctor or high flying executive will help with most women, but if you’re trying to differentiate yourself via salary you’re doing it wrong and setting yourself up for a miserable life.

A woman is more likely to be turned on by a fireman, fighter pilot, zoologist, semi-successful blogger, physical trainer, etc than a high level manager at an accounting firm. Buying nice cars and clothes is a short cut to short term happiness but won’t win you any hearts long term

That can only be achieved by being legitimately interesting and loving yourself. Don’t get caught in the validating yourself through career trap. Ask yourself if you want your bosses life. If that answer is no then you aren’t on the right ladder

Yes, greatly.

How so?

Being in a position of power, status, and/or wealth, naturally attracts women, it made my life easier, I can do little and get female attention... quite the easier time compared to my teens.

What do you do and what line of work is it?

Econ. Professor and political party handyman.

Do you find them women care about what you do for work?

No doubt about it, what is there to doubt? the first thing any woman asks is "what do you do?".

I never got a chance to use my career for sex, got LTRed long before I had it, but it sure as hell would make dating easy for me now.

The key is getting a chance with someone, why only matters to a degree. Being in a respected career with money is like being good looking, it gets you a chance. I wouldn't be bitter about it either, because you should be able to tell if she really loves you or not in a relationship, and you can really tell if she starts to lust you, some responses can't be faked well.

Do not go to law school unless you already know the firm that is going to hire you or you get into one of the big national schools. There is a huge glut of law school graduates right now. There is a good chance you would be making much less money with far more debt.

a high salary or mainstream white collar office career by itself is inherently beta. if you have enough money, you can get chicks to fuck you but it's not because they're sexually attracted to you.

TRP has been overrun by dorky betas who like to twist and redefine RP concepts so that they can tell themselves that they are high SMV alpha males. like "having a mission" is good idea generally, but it doesn't automatically make you a supreme alpha male. if you try to say that your "mission" is being the hardest working nerd in the IT department, that's really just rationalizing being a beta nerd.

however, having more money can make it easier for a man to live a sexually attractive, interesting, exciting alpha-type lifestyle that does turn women on. more money makes it easier to regularly travel to exotic destinations. more money makes it easier to party like a rock star. more money makes it easier to race motorcycles or whatever kind of dangerous alpha male hobby you are into. that's how money can help in a RP way.

Law school's not worth it unless you know exactly where you're going to work and you're picking a lucrative part of law. There's a massive glut of law school graduates with massive amounts of debt, not all of whom become lawyers, and those who do sometimes end up in some backwater making a middle-class salary with six-figure debt.

I definitely used to get a lot of attention or "SMV" (before I was married) because of my career.

It was mainly the money or the association with money, which was kind of hard to hide (working late hours, showing up on dates with a suite / tie, etc).

Women were always impressed though, and they would show me off to their friends. I remember this one girl I was dating set up a series of circumstances, on purpose, where I had to pick her up from a friends house still driving a company car. And of course all her friends came out and had to see who was picking her up.

I founded my own engineering/consultancy firm and it indeed had a massive effect on how women look at me.

Im not wealthy by any means, but having taken up the challenge was enough for women and men to show some admiration.

Plus the constant travel helps with meeting new people always.

It’s as good as irrelevant. It increases your beta bucks value, that’s all - if you’re rich you can get a hot girl to marry you, but she still won’t fuck you like if you were alpha. And attracting girls as an alpha is just so, so much easier than as a rich non-alpha.

I work in IT with hardware/networking and it's definitely not particularly good for meeting women. It's a massive sausagefest but the money is decent.

Au contraire, women are starting to understand that "I work in IT" means "makes quite a lot of money" and are scheming as to how to get that ring from him so she can take half and then go back to Chad. Be forewarned.
