Fisher resigned because everybody already knows that he's redpillschool and that means he more than likely lied under oath, and he didn't want to embarrass himself even more. What does that say about TRP? I guess that liars and manipulators really do lie and manipulate their partners, their employers, their constituents and basically everybody else. That's probably why they're called liars and manipulators in the first place.

He made the right call. He was doomed to be removed one way or another, best he do it on his terms.

Edit: I don't see anything wrong here. The comittee voted against punishment. I don't know their rules, but the article implied that activities have to be crinimal, and Fisher absolutely has a right to free speech.

The public has a right top outrage. If that was my representative, I would calling for his resignation. I want reps to uphold my values, and my values are not RP values.

People where ready and willing to see if he really is u/redpillschool and if he really is (which seems to be the case) he would be guilty of perjury and could be expelled from the state congress. Between that likely outcome and angry voters that wouldn't reelect him if he got the chance, resignation id the only sane thing to do.

It really says a lot about r/TheRedPill and The Red Pill itself. He resigned as his own choice, no one forced him into doing it. The bottom line is what he did was considered socially unacceptable by mainstream standards, but not illegal, he used his free speech and everyone else used it back at him. Hiding on the Internet saying extremely controversial opinions is often claimed because of oppression, but in reality they are oppressing themselves. It is just cowardice.
