I'm a 20 year old male and I'm not sure on what to think about the differences between men and women. I find I see flaws in men far easier than women and I know it's wrong of me. I'm too malleable around attractive women in general.

I don't like how in dating men seem far more... thirsty and I've gotten into a thought process of assuming I will be lucky or fortunate to connect with a girl, since it seems to be "their market". Is this a normal view? I think viewing men and women as equal, in this regard, will just decrease my chances with women.

I'm not too interested in blue or red pill, I don't want a cheat sheet for women I just want to get the correct mindset down so I'm not going in with wrong intentions or thinking of people differently before I even get to know them.

At least where I am and with the people I'm around, there is a massive mini culture around men pursuing women, being overly forward and/or touchy and the women feeling uneasy and telling people. The current girl I like actually tells me about the guys who pursue her like this, and I see it too. Because of this I have pretty much no idea how to proceed. At the moment, i just put more effort into a conversation than usual, more eye contact. I pretty much never touch them or even flirt, just have a nice conversation and because of that I don't get out of a platonic relationship. Tips on proceeding properly would be appreciated.

I just try and make her as happy as I can, and make her laugh, but just typing that makes me feel like... a "nice guy" although I don't think I am but who does right.. I think the idea of the kind of flirting in most typical ways isn't about a fear of rejection, it's just it to me seems to imply the man knows what the woman wants or needs and I hate that, even though it apparently works
