That's how I would have reacted, too.

He's socially retarded and awkward, and the question is about as appropriate as a woman asking "what's your girth" or "are you circumsized."

He can have the answer to the question when he's gotten to know her well enough to gauge whether it is an appropriate question.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 9 years ago (34 children) | Copy Link

of course girth/circumcision arent his life choices.

[–]SmurfESmurferson13 points14 points15 points 9 years ago (33 children) | Copy Link

Arguably, circumcision says a lot about his background and culture. Perhaps even his religion.

But who cares? The point is that asking about a date's genitals over dinner is socially autistic, and a very easy way to not get a second date.

Arguably, circumcision says a lot about his background

Wasn't circumcision the default for boys in the US for some time?

[–]SmurfESmurferson0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, but there are still groups that opt not to do it.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link

She had dismissed him by the time he got his ass planted in the seat so in this case, it mattered not.

And of course youre right that its not socially acceptable to ask that, but comparing a question about a choice to a question about something which is not a choice is not a fair comparison.

[–]SmurfESmurferson5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link

His parents had all the choice in the world re: his circumcision. Like it or not, that little snip is loaded with plenty of cultural background - much like his N question, it's like asking for some sort of obscene Cliff's Notes on your date.

Either way, they're both douchebag questions.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

None of it is his choice.

All of it is her choice.

Shitty example.

[–]SmurfESmurferson5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's still a question about genitals. It's inappropriate, ill timed, and marks him as socially retarded.

Which severely lowers his chances of getting laid, because she's now reading that he can't even judge when it's a good time to ask a question (or how to do so tactfully), so she's now wondering how bad he is at picking up other cues

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 9 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

I'd also argue that N-count says more about your background and what influences you grew up with than your ability to make decisions. I'd have needed a fine-toothed comb to find a virgin at my working class high school. Fooling around was a normal part of growing up, not some special thing you save for the love of your life lol

[–]SmurfESmurferson4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Interesting, my experiences point to a different conclusion - the working class and MC people I knew growing up attached more morality to virginity than the UMC/UC people I know in adulthood.

Either way, it's still a rude as fuck question on a first date. As a general rule, don't inquire about someone's genitals before you know their middle name.

ETA: forgot to add that I disagree. Circumcision says more about your cultural background and heritage. N Count tells you more about personal choices.

Either way, inappropriate.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Well, UMC people, at least liberal ones tend to be somewhat individualistic about sex and virginity, but they really want people to have access to birth control. I don't know if late in life (30+) virginity is more stigmatized in working and middle class people or upper-middle-class and rich ones.

[–]SmurfESmurferson4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

30+ virginity is just stigmatized, period

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Yes, but in some places it's stigmatized more than others. In some very conservative communities, there's not as much stigma, but you're still expected to be making efforts to find a mate. I have no idea if the stigma manifests differently in upper-middle-class and above communities vs. working-class ones. Any ideas?

[–]exit_sandmanstill not the MGTOW sandman FFS1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

this.

[–]Merger-ArbitrageTriggermaster, Non-Pill, Cutting through the crap...3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Educational level for adults matters, as well. Solid statistical data points point to: college educated = less partners. Take that for what you will. College also creates a massive "n=1" effect - probably better known as the "college sweetheart" effect.

In terms of virgins, I knew 2 guys who were by age 26 still virgins from my college (4 year private school, New England area). One was chubby, partially-balding, semi-dorky, kind of a cowardly dude. No surprise there, for me. The second guy was more of a surprise.. he was generally fit - above average at times even, had some bad-boy traits, but still couldn't attract women to save his life (or at least escalate sexually). It's been a few years - who knows - maybe they got some action since then...

[–]darksoldierkPurple Pill2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Circumcision often says those things about his parent's culture and religion, not necessarily his.

[–]SmurfESmurferson2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

It's an indicator of his background and how he was raised.

Regardless, my point is that inquiring about your date's genitals is rude at best, socially retarded at worst.

[–]darksoldierkPurple Pill1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Yes. But he didn't ask her about her genitals. He didn't say "how big is your vagina". He asked her how many men she slept with. It's still not an acceptable question on a first date, but personally, I think it should be acceptable. A man should know important things about the woman he is seeing so that he can determine if she is worth spending more of his time and money on.

[–]SmurfESmurferson0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Any questions about genitals are not first date questions. They mark you as a creepy motherfucker who can't read boundaries.

I think it should be acceptable

Like I've said elsewhere on this thread, there is a time and a place.

Before entrees on the first date? You're a social retard who should never have his peepee touched

[–]darksoldierkPurple Pill1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

But, it isn't about her genitals. It's about how many men she slept with. There is a difference. It's not like asking "hey, are you menstruating right now?". THAT is a question about her genitals.

[–]SmurfESmurferson1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

And neither question is appropriate before the entree has been served on your first date.

BECAUSE BOTH ARE ABOUT GENITALS.

[–]darksoldierkPurple Pill1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Well, before the entree is served, yeah. but during the first date? Nah, I don't think it should be inappropriate to ask how many men she slept with. At least he will know if he is wasting his time before he wastes too much of his time.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

he's socially retarded and awkward.

She's not exactly an intellectual

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He's socially retarded and awkward, and the question is about as appropriate as a woman asking "what's your girth" or "are you circumsized."

I think it's much less appropriate because I would just answer those questions without acting defensive. He's killed his chances. Personal questions about my dick would only increase a girls chances.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago* (6 children) | Copy Link

Agree, generally.

"How many guys have you fucked" is never an appropriate question on a first date. In the very, very unlikely event she wants to volunteer that info, OK. If she did, the guy will probably get laid.

the question is about as appropriate as a woman asking "what's your girth" or "are you circumsized."

If she's asking him questions about his dick on a first date, the guy will know he's getting laid.

[–]SmurfESmurferson6 points7 points8 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If she asks it on a first date, the guy will know he's getting laid.

I'd only ask those as a retort to the N question, and at that point ... Dude wasn't getting laid.

But yeah, if she just spewed those questions out, he's probably getting laid. Then charged for it, based on how ladylike she's acting.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

based on how ladylike she's acting

CHAV SHAMING

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Depends on his answer

[–]Offhisgame0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Until he admits its small...

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There's only one way to resolve that question...

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He's socially retarded and awkward, and the question is about as appropriate as a woman asking "what's your girth" or "are you circumsized."

And why is that a problem? I'd laugh and answer it.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

"what's your girth" or "are you circumsized."

Incorrect, asking about is income and what he does for a living would be the equivalent.

[–]SmurfESmurferson1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

That's not asking about his genitals.

My point is that inquiring about genitals on a first date is rude.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

You keep forgetting that men and women are not equal. A man is looking for a committed woman and a woman is looking for a stable man.

[–]SmurfESmurferson2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Sure.

But questions about genitals on the first date are socially autistic.

Justify it however you want, it doesn't make it socially acceptable.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

So you'd agree that most women are socially autistic then? As a man's manliness is measured by his status.

[–]SmurfESmurferson1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If women are asking this question on a first date, then yes. Don't ask about a person's genitals on the first date - that is just rude.

(PS - in so far as "a man's manliness is measured by his status" ... That's not her everloving business on the first date.)

[–]GridReXXit be like that0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think he's saying it's offensive to him to inquire about his worth via his income on a first date.

Just as it's offensive to her to inquire about her worth via her sexual experience on a first date.

Asking a guy about his dick on the first date isn't as offensive because well he's hoping you end up touching his dick that night. So I agree not an equivalent comparison you offered up.

[–]jackandjill22Red Pill misanthropic, contrarian0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The majority of women I've met do that. Instantly. It's like the first question from their mouth. But that's the difference I suppose from cold-approaches & dating within your social circle.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Is the point of this post to suggest that TRP, or TRPers, believe it's appropriate to ask this question of a woman on a first date? Because it doesn't.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

a woman told me it was on my previous thread...

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

I think she misrepresented TRP to you...

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

No true red Pillers would say such a thing

[–]disposable_pants0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Go ahead, link to where TRP says you should grill women about their sexual history on a first date.

[–][deleted] -2 points-1 points0 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's why I said it. Because no true red piller would.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

no it was just her opinion.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Her opinion was not based on anything factual.

[–]sublimemongrelBecky, Esq.0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Well when is the appropriate time then? TRP makes it seem like it's important. Maybe not a first date q but what? A third? A month of dating? Right before you're planning on moving in? The night before the wedding? When?

[–]darksoldierkPurple Pill3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Right about the time you go from "yeah, Jane is a good time, but Becky is a better time" to "yeah, I think I'd rather stop having sex with Becky and just be with Jane, see how it works out". In other words, it at the time when you figure out that it is now worth it to dedicate more time on growing a relationship instead of continuing trying to find someone who wants to have a relationship with you. If that makes sense.

[–]sublimemongrelBecky, Esq.0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Makes sense I guess.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's about right.

[–]disposable_pants2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You never just blurt out "so how many guys have you fucked?"

You listen. You listen to her friends. You listen to the stories her and her friends tell about the past. You watch how she responds to conversations/movies/books/ads that involve other people's sexual histories. You talk about related subjects that naturally come up when people are sleeping together/dating, like how you both view the importance of sex and commitment in relationships. You see whether she puts herself in scenarios where inhibitions are lowed, or where casual sex is permissible/encouraged, or where men are constantly going to hit on her. You can figure out an awful lot just by keeping your eyes and ears open.

[–]jackandjill22Red Pill misanthropic, contrarian1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Girls aren't exactly shy about that shit in certain environments. They'll just blabber on without any awareness that there's an actual another person seriously paying attention to what she's saying about herself.

Only girls who're very self-conscious about cover every detail of their tracks. & for the most part if she's Fucking. It's apart of her lifestyle & it'll come out in its own anyway eventually because you can't just hide a major aspect of your life from someone investing in you. Or only for so long.

[–]HailMahi4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

if someone ever asked me this on a date I'd say the first number to pop in my head and add 'Not including your mum' at the end.

"I think it was a little bit of a rookie move on a first date." Hahahaha

That was unfortunate for him because he is much more attractive than she is, I think.

[–]cxj75% Redpill Core Ideas3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

[–]cats_or_get_out 7 points7 points7 points 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

[–]cxj75% Redpill Core Ideas2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't at all. I feverishly lurk over r/gonenatural and my longest LTR was with a girl who almost always wore literally no makeup. The only times she did was for job interviews or weddings. It was one of her biggest selling points.

[–]The-os0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nah, it's a turn off for me.

[–]SpaceWhiskey🍃 Social Justice Druid 🍂2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This is a perfect example of how an attractive guy can be a creep and blow his chance.

[–]wattwattyOld and reddish0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Though I can't find a link to the episode, I'll bet you $10000 he did not blow his chance.

[–]Candy_Kittens2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Bit personal for a first date.

[–]darksoldierkPurple Pill0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Didn't he warn her? He didn't really give her a chance to say that she doesn't like personal questions on a first date though.

[–]Candy_Kittens1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

There's personal questions and then there are personal questions.

[–]Offhisgame1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

When were you in a relationship last is pretty normal

[–]Candy_Kittens0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

[–]Offhisgame1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]Candy_Kittens0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Maybe in your messed up world.

[–]Archwinger2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That guy would have benefited from some Red Pill education.

For example, a Red Pill advocate would never ask that question of a woman on the first date because he knows it's a bad sexual strategy to be direct instead of covert, and Red Pill men like getting laid. He would instead fuck her on the first date, and he'd know she's a slut without asking.

A Red Pill advocate would also know that there's no point in ever asking. Even if she answers, she'll lie if it doesn't paint her in a favorable light.

This is an excellent example of how a lot of non-Redpillers can blow it and how The Red Pill helps men.

[–]Merger-ArbitrageTriggermaster, Non-Pill, Cutting through the crap...1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'd find it odd if someone asked me in the middle of first date dinner or some other non-sexual activity.

For what it's worth, I'd answer, because I have nothing to hide. I'd also ask why they wanted to know and ask them the same question right back. After being upfront about myself, if I don't get satisfactory (seemingly genuine) answers in return, no date 2. If I got attitude or snarky remarks in return, I'd cut the date off on the spot.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Of course this is probably an attempt at rp shaming.. So what about girls who ask this early on?? I've had way more girls ask me this question first.

[–]SmurfESmurferson0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

So what about girls who ask this early on??

They're also assholes.

No one should be inquiring about anyone else's genitals on a first date.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Well, when should a person ask?? I never ask because I know every girl over 21 has fucked at least 20 guys, but some people do ask

[–]SmurfESmurferson1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Like someone else upthread said - that moment when you go from "I like Jane, but I'm also into Becky" to "I think I want to stop sleeping with Becky to see where it goes with Jane."

When you're on the precipice of a committed relationship and want all the cards on the table. That's when you talk ex's and past experiences.

Preferably at home, while drinking wine.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Preferably not at all.. I've gotten dirty looks before having that conversation

[–]SmurfESmurferson1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I, personally, feel that it's a completely immature conversation to have.

But, finding a low N person wasn't my priority.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I've never been dumped, so it's not really something I ever worried about.. Seems like women are mostly worried about it
