new year resolutions are just one other obnoxious bullshit life tool of western society which people use for a couple of weeks in january just to convince people their shit lives are in some way improving.

If you're in a gym for more than january you know what i mean.

fuck new years resolutions. anything worth doing is worth doing right now, regardless of the day of the year.

I make no new years resolutions, because when I decide I want to change something, I do it. I don't wait on a certain day of the year to critically analyze myself.

Gain weight. I'm way too fucking skinny. Look like Fuckin skinny arms Rob Lowe out here. Forearms just are too damn skinny, legs are eh. I sprained my wrist snowboarding though, so lifting's delayed a little bit.

Be aware that you might not want to share your resolutions outside this sub. This is for two reasons:

I've said this before: false validation. Tell your mom you plan on getting fit, you'll probably hear something along the lines of "Oh honey thats not necessary! Just eat a little less. Love ya hon"
Whenever you decide to get better, people around you will be reminded of their flaws. They will be reminded that they lack the willpower to stop fapping 5 times a day. They will be reminded that you are better. Just don't remind them. People don't like feeling that way. This goes for males and females. They might become passiv-aggressive against you or try to pull you down on their level, so they feel better.

Anyway here are my resolutions:

Meditate more
Read more
Fap less
No porn

Really, the porn stuff is important. I've cut masturbation in 2012, and after a while it induced a flatline where I didn't even had morning wood anymore. It is perfectly ok to masturbate, if you do it like your ancestors, it won't affect your drive to be sexual active. But porn creates a connection between your sex life and your computer, so it turns you somehow in an asexual human beeing

Be more of an asshole than last year, without being an actual asshole. Give less of a fuck than last year. Exercise more (and I exercise a lot), masturbate less. Eat better. That said, these are my every day resolutions. I disagree completely with the previous member who said NY resolutions aren't a good idea, I think they can be used by anybody to improve their life. The problem is that the weight of your inertia quite often exceeds the full extent of your maximum willpower (I stole that quote from somebody on here, by the way). That's why you should be making resolutions on an ongoing basis, while using the start of a year to vaguely describe what you would achieve were you to meet all of your macro-resolutions.

I was somewhat negative to New Year Resolutions due to the fact that people wait so long for it to happen, and most of the time no one keeps their freaking promises for more than a month. However, I see no bad in making them either.

Exlude fapping from my life
Gym every day I have no reason not to
Get visible abs - Yes, this is correlated with the bullet above, though a bit more of a goal
Stop watching Youtube videos 5 times over due to boredom
Focus more on learning programming before I get into University
Exclude unnecessary foods. Candy, Soda, Alcohol.
Stop chewing/gnawing at my shirts - This is one mean habit I've had for many years. Must stop f*cking now.
