I just watched this: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-07-04/falling-in-love-with-a-sex-doll/7566842

It's not long, but very insightful.

My opinion is that sex dolls have a definite place, for people who, for whatever reason, find comfort in them. I don't know this man's reasons for not seeking a real-life woman but he didn't explain that. He seems happy enough with his doll. Maybe it's because he didn't have any luck with women, and in a doll he can have the young, beautiful woman of his dreams (and variety if he wants it).

I admit I'd be totally weirded out if he were my dad. And I wouldn't want to go to his house and have to see him cuddling a doll. But in general, I think it's fine.
