Maybe this is why I'm reluctant to identify as straight-up "blue", even though I'm anything but red. I see some significant benefits to the RP:

It validates men's emotional pain, portraying dissatisfaction with the straight dating scene as natural and understandable. And, without emotional validation, there is no moving forward.
It encourages men to move forward on multiple fronts (socially, physically, and financially), achieving mastery as a means of combating stagnation.
It reframes the conversation around sexual frustration and romantic rejection, away from how things should be and what would be fair, refocusing attention on what works.

With all that said, I do wish they kept the focus broader. For example, n-count doesn't strike me as a very helpful metric - but maybe that's because I'm a medium-to-high-n female. I also cringe a little at the AWALT and the use of the term "snowflake" to dismiss counter-examples; but, again, this is a self-serving criticism.

TL;DR version: the RP isn't perfect but, at its best, it can help guys to accept their emotional pain and move forward in life.

I think RP would do it self a world of favors if they made a sub for anger phasers to rant in, that is private or some thing. Then do a better job at distilling the RP ideas into a less hackneyed format. Really the 'side bar' is crap in term of quality. if i were rp i would rewrite it and distill down to its essence. Actually if i were RP and in power i would structure it like this: Side bar completely rewritten, Ranters / anger phasers moved them to a new sub where they can vent unmolested by BP. I mean BP wouldn't invade a safe space now would they? Then i would make a theory sub that has approved submitters and no commenters. then i would make some thing very similar to Ask TRP where questions can be asked. then maybe a forum for high level debate between experienced red pillers about rp doctrine and theory.

In essence RP need to discretize its various services So forums stay on point.

Also ban field reports they're crigney and a lot them are clearly fake. Hell if you seriously want to have them make a separate sub. Call it rp testimonials.

I don't care about mean words. I care about mean thoughts. Mean, petty thoughts that make men small and scared and nasty. You're afraid of women, you're afraid of other men, you're afraid of your own inadequacies, and all the RP does is encourage you to turn that fear into hate. Some improvement.

And what are the supposed valuable lessons buried in the ten tons of manure that is the Red Pill? "Being attractive will get you more dates than being unattractive?" "When Mr. Rogers said to be yourself, he didn't mean to do nothing and then throw a tantrum when lingerie models don't tear down your door begging to give you blowjobs?" "Maybe wear a clean shirt?" You don't need to adopt an entire misogynistic sci-fi religion to learn that.

My question to you is simple, you have mean words but you also have life improvements and supporters: should trp disband and cease to exist?

You can teach life improvement without the hate speech. See r/askmen, r/motivation, r/MensLib and many other subs.

The way I see it there's broadly 2 types of guys who find/visit/become regulars on the trp sub.

D-bag who want to learn how to be a better D-bag.
Guy whose social/romantic life has been destroyed for whatever reason, or has always been in the social/romantic gutter.

Guy 2, desperately needs help and won't get it from anywhere but trp.

Guy 1 will become the stereotypical guy everyone thinks is 100% of trp members, guy 2 will become better than he was.

I first heard about RP from a commenter on Jezebel (very left wing feminist blog). She was talking about how awful it was. I always try to read both sides of a story. Even if I disagree, I like to see the thought process behind the ideas. So I checked out RP, then BP, then finally, this subreddit.

I think RP is sometimes heartbreakingly sad, sometimes borderline hateful, and sometimes insightful. I do think that it should exist. It seems like a lot of men (and women for the RP Women offshoot) benefit from the community. The self-improvement aspect is admirable, especially when it focuses more on improving for the sake of being a better person, not just for sex.

My only real issue with RP is that it can often get so wrapped up in it's own ideas that it becomes an echo chamber. From personal experience, I've found that reading the thoughts of someone with the complete opposite views causes the most personal growth. I think that's why I like PPD so much.
