I wonder that too very often. While I get a few relationship-searching women interested in me, I barely get any actual desire coming my way.

Not too mention a good girl friend of mine basically confirming that behaviour in deed and word. She dates a guy she doesn't really want that much while secretly pining for a far more attractive guy at her work place. She also basically told me that was a rather common thing for women my age and basically told me I was too soft and that I should just get into a relationship with somebody that I don't completely care for / don't desire that much / doesn't desire me that much and just use it too get the sex I want and dump the chick when I feel like its needed.

Way more than 20%. If I was to attempt to place a number on it if say 70-80% of women in long term relationships. Of course the very least attractive males won't be in such relationships, and many LTRs will also be in some part of the honeymoon period.

IME, when a woman totally loses attraction to her partner the relationship doesn't last long after that. So even if a woman DID lose attraction for a BF... They'd probably spend 2 1/2 years attracted, 1/2 a year not attracted, followed by a break up.

only a few are sexually attracted by their partners. one of the reason women seldom initiate is because they don't find the overwhelming majority of men attractive. they end up marrying them just because they need a provider. remember that women evolved to be selective in their mating choices and evolutionary tendencies don't change overnight with social conditioning like BPers, feminists, marxists, SJWs and other ideologues simplistically believe.

I think 90% of women were probably attracted to their partner at least at one time, even if he let himself go later and they are not as attracted to him now (she may have let herself go too, of course). They may find other men more attractive than their partner, but that does not mean they aren't attracted to their man as well.

This is a controversial topic, because men do not want to admit that for the most part, women find us ugly.

PUAs, mainstream dating advice and consumer culture in general all rely on men believing that they can 'buy' affection with trinkets, or by using 'game'. That is why this essential aspect of female sexuality is hidden, even by the so called 'red pillers', who for the most part, are just PUA 2.0, with a focus on 'inner game'.

There is no love without sexual attraction. TRP talks a good game about women's dual mating strategy, but yet is unwilling to take it to the obvious conclusion that most women are not attracted to their BB partners.

Women have much higher standards than men. In fact the standards of men are so low, that hot men can find average women pretty.

Does this hold true for women? No of course not, women need a man far more attractive than themselves, to be aroused.

Women are so keen to hide this fact, that they are willing to claim that a man who they deem average can suddenly become hot, if he has a nice personality. I feel bad for the men who believe this.

OK, divorce rates are huge and most of them are initiated by women but the numbers are nowhere near what you quoted. Makes me wonder if this is even a serious post. That being said, the fact that people stay married does not necessarily mean they are happy.

One major thing to note is that hypergamy, at least in my experience, doesn't mean there is some exact top 10% of men in the world to whom women are attracted to, but rather that women are generally attracted to men who they perceive as better than them in a way that is relevant to her life. This can have many, many contexts that are not always immediately clear to everyone. IE a top tier business woman making 250 k /year who enjoys skiing can be attracted to an expert ski instructor who only makes 35 k a year and has no real long term career. He might even be her stay at home Dad for their kids during the summer or whatever. Combine this ambiguity with varying degrees of physical attractiveness, and there are more possible happy couples than some on TRP might initially think, and in my opinion many more than the "lookism" crowd thinks exist. Like the hypothetical business woman could be a 3 in looks and her ski instructor could be a 4-5 and she could be happy with that. There are all sorts of communities and niches average looking and even ugly men carve a high position within and parlay that into attraction for a subset of women.

TRP explains things in absolutes because its simpler and easier to understand, but IRL concepts like hypergamy have a lot more nuance.

My main point is that there is more than 10% of men in the West with the potential to have an LTR with a woman who is actually attracted to them, but that doesn't necessarily mean this will manifest. In reality, I'd confidently say that less than 50% of women are actually attracted to their husband/LTR. I think a big part of this is that women simply value different things out of relationships, especially marriages, and prioritize attraction/sex significantly less. They then get confused when they have 2 kids and a job mortgage etc and their husband is still wanting all this sex when they have other things on their mind and are stressed out with other goals.

The problem with this is that you're oversimplifying hypergamy.

Sure, X% of women are in relationships which means there is some level of attraction. But hypergamy means that a woman's attraction is relative to what else is out there. If she is with a man who she perceives as the best available, she'll be content.

A great example I read about recently was the tumultuous tale of Wendi Deng. Comes over to the US from China to study business and lives with a married couple while studying, and the woman of the couple was in the same classes as her. She is 30 years junior to the husband and starts fucking him. They then get married and she ends up cheating on him within months of marriage. Then she meets Rupert Murdoch, also many years her senior but loaded obviously. They get married, and then she cheats on him with Tony Blair of all people.

See? Her attraction was merely relative to what else she could have.

I'd say a small amount are very attracted to their partner -- probably 10% or so. Most, however, are somewhat attracted, or in their own minds, attracted enough, to their partner. But not very attracted. Women are very attracted to only a very, very small number of men, by nature.
