I honestly do not believe that most women are actually this naive. I think they are instead simply repeating the blue pill they have been taught, while knowing it is false. This is like any situation with a male orbiter: the girl always KNOWS that he is an orbiter, she is just taking advantage of the ambiguity to pretend otherwise.
