It's a beta trait, trp will call it an alpha trait.

Trp always fucks up beta and omega. And often fucks up alpha and beta.

Definitely beta.

RP is knowingly or unknowingly encouraging beta traits in men when they suggest things that require it.

Alphas are impulsive, are always looking for shortcuts and find a way to play the system to their advantage rather than attempt to win the pre-established game. Hard work, sacrifice, tradeoffs, and hesitance are the antithesis of all that and therefore beta.

High beta

I find the jocks or "bros" who went to top tier schools, whether it's Yale or University of Chicago were more FTO all around.

They managed to focus on their academics and career trajectory while at the same time focusing on their social acumen and well roundedness.

To me the kid who took AP course in HS and was also on the basketball team > than the "beta" kid who just stayed in his basement and studied.

I know too many lawyers and doctors and engineers who were never beta. Protopill can attest to this.

In fact 3 of my male friends went straight through for their Masters of Engineering from top 10 schools and they've been male whores since they at least freshman year.

Somehow they managed to join frats. Play football. Be dude like. Work out. One's even into music production. Which to me is all "investment" in their level of attraction.

And still perform well in college and career. (Investment in their beta traits.)

Most people I know, even the women, managed to focus on both academic/career trajectory and social skills/status. It's a balancing act that for some reason came natural to my network.

TLDR:

It takes "FTO" to invest in both.

Most people don't just wake up good looking and attractive. They work at it over time.

Most people don't wake up rich and established. They work at it over time.

FTO is a waste of time in terms of sexual relationships. You could be dead tomorrow and you will be surprised how effective taking action is. Early bird catches the worm etc. I don't know about any men getting some huge bounty of pussy from investing(wasting) their time even on what you could call "quality" women.

I have pretty low FTO, making me omega, so I will agree it's beta. Beta because it helps one provide, but is anathema to alpha spontaneity and entropy

Don't know if it's alpha or beta (depends on how you define those things), but it's definitely a positive quality, and one you're probably going to need if you want to get ahead in life.

It is largely orthogonal to alpha/beta.

A guy with low FTO can be a low life surfer dude, but he's cocky, fit and he doesn't give a fuck about what people think of him, so strong alpha.

A low FTO beta is a couch potato.

High FTO people can be anything really, alpha or beta.

I think that there are some correlations: high testosteron tends to make you impulsive and so reduce FTO, and high FTO combined with the prevalence of "beta advice" means a higher risk of becoming beta.

But overall, there is little overlap.

TRP stresses FTO as very important and high FTO plus the TRP playbook certainly lets you build your alpha much higher.
