'Women' don't consciously huddle round and snicker over all those men that they're shit-testing with a world-wide ideology. Feminism is a pre-rational decision to exploit hypergamous imperatives. The Enlightenment and French Revolution successfully dissolved the early modern world's conservative institution with the most power to moderate hypergamy, organised religion. The Agricultural and Industrial Revolutions in turn gave women access to hypergamy through socialising in urban areas, prior to this she would have lived with beta bux peasant hubby in some cottage or mill out in the middle of nowhere, or just a shitty thatched hut. It isn't a shit test. The people that believe in it are authentic in their sentiment. It is based on the idea that women are being mistreated by society, and it is an injustice. The common feminist woman is especially susceptible to this sort of argumentation, as their primary view of the world comes through the lens of their social experience. This injustice is a threat her position of social value, and that is her source of power. Their reaction of anger and fear is understandable. They try and absolve the issue with the strategies of the weak: protest, shaming, complaint.

Whether their concerns are valid or not in modern times is another story. They have not gotten used to the fact that they are not weak any more. They have rights, they have jobs, they can communicate at will, and they can organize a vote. The act of complaint is a plea to the powerful to keep doing their work for them. They have the power now to drive their own agendas, but there is nothing left to fight for. They keep complaining to male leaders like they have done in the past, because that is how they got their results.

The entire thing is a pitiful, ironic, farce. It is the ramblings of ungrateful, greedy westerners, that don't know the experience of actual oppression, and are just looking to emulate their fabled college heroines in an attempt to garner some attention and relevance in their own banal existences. It reeks of youthful immaturity, and I have no idea why it is taken more seriously than an angsty male atheist ranting about the injustices of religion of his facebook feed. They don't deserve as much ideological gravity as they are being given.

I think it's an interesting theory, but only as a metaphor.

The metaphor "kind of" works, because shit testing, in terms of male-female interaction, is considered by RP to be subconscious -- that is, it isn't that a woman decides "OK, I need to shit test him now, so here goes ...", but rather that a woman feels uneasy, and that uneasyness comes out in a challenge to the man, whether she intends it as a challenge or not. Later she may report that she felt the need to be bitchy for some reason, and she isn't sure why, and so on. That's a shit test. It isn't an intentional, conscious thing. So feminism can be viewed as a shit test in that way, while at the same time recognizing that, in an intentional way, it is a social and political movement. In other words, it's possible for it to be both at the same time, in a metaphoric sense, if one understands what an actual shit test is on the personal level. But it's only a metaphor.

There is a new idea in the blogospheric 3rd-Wave that is functionally shit testy (though of course that is not the intent). Mansplaining is a way for women to force men to stop talking.

Also, absolutely agreeing with everything a feminist says because she is a woman is beta testing for men.

I disagree with it. Even with respect to Third Wave feminism.

It isn't a shit-test. Its toxic femininity being rationalized through bad sociological theories.

Earlier forms of feminism, those derived from the classical liberal tradition etc, well they're far more reasonable and I basically support them. But Radical and Third Wave feminisms are in need of scathing critique.

However I don't think they're a shit-test.

Let's take a random average female feminist activist and consider two options for what's going on behind her actions.

She genuinely believes that we live in a patriarchy where men as a group have power and women are "oppressed" and that feminism is needed to overthrow this system of oppression.
She doesn't actually believe all of that stuff but she thinks that it would be good to test how far she (and other women) can take it, to see how far men give, with the hope that men stand up, shut it down, and put women in their place.

The second one just sounds like redpillers projecting their own world-view onto feminists. Sure, you can argue that the best response to feminism is to be strong, not take it seriously, and treat it like a shit test. But I'm very suspicious of anything that sounds like "people in the other group are just pretending to believe in their world-view; in reality, they believe in my world-view".

Feminism is as much a shit test as rebellion against slavery was.

Nat Turner, 1831, was a slave who led a slave rebellion against the white slave owners (killing a load of them). Then it was said by the whites that the rebellions was evidence of the inferior nature of the blacks and that they needed slavery to control their primitive and inferior nature, and that they actually needed slave owners to 'keep them in their rightful place'.

This is pretty much exactly how the red pill views women today. And they use the same justifications about women's 'nature' for their whacko outdated philosophies.

I don't know about all that but feminists do seem to constantly push whenever people give in to them while they step back when people tell them to fuck off (I'm think of rappers and muslims here, openly misogynistic cultures get a total pass if they tell feminists to fuck off and women to mind their place).
