Geocentrism wasn't a lie

That which is not true, is false. Belief does not change something from being false.

Emotions cause a physical effect on your body.

Is that so? I was under the understanding that the physical effect is what caused the emotion.

When you say

Emotions are the product of chemicals in your brain

The word product is being used to indicate "a result or consequence".'

Thus it seems that you believe the chemicals cause the emotions, and not the other way around.

Here is a Wikipedia article classifying positive and negative emotions, in case you're confused about which emotions are which.

Let's see what's defined as negative emotion.

Negative emotions

Alarm, panic

No. Not negative. Being alert or alarmed by something can save your life.

Aversion, disgust, revulsion

Nope. Being disgusted by spoiled food will save your life.

Indifference, familiarity, habituation

Being familiar with something is negative?

Fear

I am afraid of large heights. This fear keeps me from jumping off buildings. Seems to be positive as it actually keeps me alive.

Sorry, but negative emotions seem to actually be something useful in PREVENTING actual harm, not something that causes harm.
