Emotional intelligence is hotter than money now. Many of them have confused emotional intelligence with being spineless, but it's really not the same.

Exactly! And these men who are actually in modern times and see eye to eye with their partners are considered “cucks”, “simps” etc. when they are the ones who actually score and went with times. They simply see women as equal. Redpill men are just a ball of frustration and redpill women are just misguided doormats. I tend to feel sorry for them but every time I come across their hateful shit they spit out online I just wish they wouldn’t exist. So toxic and dangerous.

It's also hypocritical that they think that a financially independent woman who would even pay the bills is a man-hating feminist who would falsely accuse them and sleeps around, but also hate traditional women who don't work because they leech of them.

The 1950s weren't great for men either, even the cis straight middle class white men idolized by incels. They were not allowed to show emotion or weakness. They had the sole burden of financial success for the whole household or else they were considered failures. They were not allowed to have partners who were a different race or sex than what was expected of them. They were not allowed to be infertile. They were often abused by their fathers and they often in turn abused their own children. They were sent off to war and treated as subhuman by their governments. They became a generation of traumatized, lonely, angry alcoholics.

Why a man born in this era would want to go back to that misery is beyond me.

The 1950s stuff is an excuse. They probably would have had similar issues if they were born in a different generation.

Women have always worked. Just that a lot of the stuff in the house was not automated so it meant there was much more to do in the house. Men have automised most things to give women the freedom to use her time on other pursuits.

In economic struggles, women had to help bring some income. That could be making wine at home, nursing or farm work. Grandparents often raised the children.

Even in ancient times, women were still educated. They studied at home and perhaps assisted with their husbands work. Affluent women were involved in charitable work.

I dont think a thread like this is accurate, empathetic, or most importantly - even a little bit likely to encourage someone to let go of TRP.

The trend I have seen with RPmen - the ones that REALLY live the life - is that they are devastated by a bad relationship outcome, very often one with a bad or manipulative person, and in their pain they thrash about trying to understand why it all went wrong. "I did everything right, I did my best, why did I deserve this??"

Virtually all common and mainstream social messaging on the subject of gender roles or gender expectations is "you men did the bad thing, do better!" Meanwhile these men who have been shit on - sometimes in ways that could only happen to a man, and only be perpetrated by a woman, an uncomfortable but real bouquet of troubles no one is ready to acknowledge - feel ever more shit on and burrow their heads into the internet like ostriches, searching for a community that will understand, validate, and not attempt to deny their pain. There aren't a lot of options out there.

Insert TRP. In the BEST of scenarios, they start with the self-improvement stuff. Lose the pounds, get better jobs, all of the obvious. These things objectively improve their life, they become happier, they feel more confident, women smile at them when they're out in public sometimes. "It must be because I'm reading TRP!"

Then they start reading about "how women are". They see uncannily relatable descriptions of the women that wronged them. Ohhh, it makes so much sense! They ignore the possibility that these behavioral archetypes may be specific, to a specific type of bad person. Instead of learning how to avoid shitty people they learn how to win over shitty people, and the ensuing success makes the conclusions about what some are a self fulfilling prophecy. And slowly, insidiously, the misogyny starts to trickle in. One drop at a time. Eventually, and they won't see it happening, the woman that hurt them becomes a template for all women.

They become so indoctrinated that they cannot see their successes as a result of their self improvement, and perhaps a stronger backbone or sense of self-respect. In fact they can't see the success they've achieved as a result of anything inherent to themselves at all - there is only TRP.

The saddest things I have read were threads of men SEVERAL YEARS into functioning relationships checking in about one minute interaction or discussion with their SO. Needing the manosphere to weigh in on whether he was alpha enough when he said anything from "nah I want pizza tonight, not Mexican" to "I dont think you should hang out with that guy that's always hitting on you and trying to get you drunk". If they held their frame that time when they pretended to be fine while having a quiet breakdown about a deadline at work. And so on.

Suddenly the umbilical cord tied forever. They are TRP and TRP is them. I firmly believe that most of these men don't even actually want a traditional marriage. It works for some people but is a nightmarish amount of unnecessary pressure in the modern world. I think TRP brainwashes men into thinking this is what they want, that any modern ideas they once had were impossible to achieve delusion, and that if they don't have a redpill-conforming relationship, they're a failure as a man and their girlfriend is shopping for who to cheat on them with.

While many of these guys do have regressive beliefs - some were already misogynists, some were normal guys that merely gravitated to traditional relationships, but became infected by the toxicity of TRP and became one ... I dont think it's even a bit productive to frame this whole subcultural development and more importantly the reasons people get sucked I to it as nothing more than entitled asshole men being entitled and wanting barefoot pregnant sex slave cooks for wives.

The people most emotionally tethered to TRP that I have seen always seemed to get there on a journey of very real pain. Threads like this confirm TRP's worst narrative - that the world is a dog eat dog shithole, feminism has erased all traditional (but not abusive) marriages from existence, the world is stacked against you, no one will help you, no one CAN help you, no one even cares about you nor will they take your experiences seriously ........ but if you read our sidebar, you can beat them. Let me tell you about frame...

And then the rabbit hole begins
