Anyone reads Mark Manson? Recommend him?

He wrote a book called models that's mostly about abundance mentality and inner game based on pop psychology. It's pretty good. I like his strategy of demographics vs TRP hookup strategy because casual sex simply isn't as consistent or emotionally intimate and qualitatively good as relationship sex. Keep in mind though that he used PUA techniques to bed alot of women and he's 6ft, 6 figure white American man with a 6 pack so he really can be honest and vulnerable with women and still get hot girlfriends.

I would say yes to his polarization strategy, demographics, the three honesty's and fashion and fitness and no to being too vulnerable or honest.

For context I'm female. I read some of his blog posts years ago and thought they were awful, and basically stayed away from him after that. So I was surprised last Christmas when everyone was reading The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck, and that it had such wide popularity. My dad had a copy so I read it, and although I didn't find it ground breaking it certainly contained some solid advice.

Then I heard him speaking on a podcast, and my opinion of him went way up. He had a lot of really sensible things to say.

In a nutshell, I think he's probably evolved a lot over the past 10 years or so. I'd steer clear of anything by "old" Mark Manson, but "new" Mark Manson seems pretty alright.

I'm reading models right now, after I read The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck,

I definitely recommend it. I'm implementing his recommendations and so far I see a positive effect on my mood swings, I don't try to have sex with women I don't bond with and also I don't freak out for not having sex often. Basically he teaches how to be true to yourself and set healthy, positive goals for yourself in life. We judge ourselves on a daily basis and this is what makes us feel good / bad, we can control our feelings to be stable and positive by changing the things we judge ourselves upon.

Steve Mayede is good on YouTube. He is also a divorcee whom ended up in prison, lost custody of his children, was involved in MRA and left it because he hated the victim complex. He now remarried, has a new family and building a series on how stupid TRP is.

I really liked Models. I'm going to be revisiting it here soon with a support group I am in. I wasn't as impressed with the "Subtle Art", but we will be revisiting that one, as well. I haven't read too many of his blog posts. I'm not sure I'm ready to move into the dating world yet, but there was a lot of good stuff on inner development that I liked.

I don't know how anti-RP he is, but I've been subbed to his blog for a while and found him to be quite insightful and nuanced. It was mostly more general life stuff and long ago, so no guarantees, but seemed cool to me.
