Well, if you read the whole thing it is actually (potentially) explained why. the women were found to be uncomfortable in the clinical setting and were perhaps not relaxed enough to be 'turned on'. As you yourself said men have far more testosterone than women so due to that and social conditioning it is possible that they did not face the same inhibitions. They retried the experiment in a more private and romantic setting and are still analysing the results.

Also, there is a lot more to love and bonding than just oxytocin which, by the way, is not a neuron. A neuron is the 'receiving' part of a nerve cell, so it would 'recieve' the oxytocin, which is a peptide hormone.

I can only answer for myself that yes, women do love men deeply and with great feeling and to such a powerful degree that the loss of that loved one can drive women into deep depression and suicidal ideation. Heartbreak and euphoria and all the symptoms of love are just as real for us.

I don't have an argument or a counter point really to offer you, but I do have this. I love my ex fiancee more than life itself. I could never doubt it and I will love him for the rest of my life. When I met him, he had nothing to offer but himself. He was broke with no license, no place of his own, no job, a crippling alcohol addiction and was in bad health. I loved him the moment I set eyes on him, absorbed everything he ever said to me like I was a sponge, I would have done absolutely anything for him and once even told him I'd take a bullet for him. We've not been together for just over a year now and the same still applies. I never ever thought I'd want to be a mother before I met him but I loved him so much, I wanted that love to result in something truly beautiful that reflected just how I felt about him. I watched him at his lowest and saw him rise to his highest, he's now on top of the world financially and totally content with life and knowing my love helped him through that is priceless to me and although he left me, I'd do everything I did for him again in an instant even if I had to go through the painful lows of watching him in such distress and exhilarating highs of watching him finally succeed again. Pure, raw, real love where you'd be elated being with them even if it was in a cardboard box on skid row, would see them through anything and when you have the degree of sexual chemistry outlasting the honeymoon phase is rare but it's real and it's so beautiful.

My wife and I have been married 18 years. The world would not imagine the love we share, as well as everything else that we share in our life.

Just have some standards and love someone who loves you back. TRP doubts feelings are real because they're uncomfortable and inside, everyone there is a pessimistic, cynical boy who hasn't even HAD a deep emotional relationship with anyone so it seems rightfully scary. Feelings ARE scary, love is one of the scariest feelings.

That study and science bullshit? It's BULLSHIT. I don't even care if it's scientifically reproducible, it plays no part in a life well-led with a person who loves you.

Look, it's all in YOUR hands what kind of life and relationship you want. In my 10 years of seduction, I felt like a sexual object much more often than a loved object. No idea why, but I never felt loved the way I could love. On the other hand, I agree with this farcry 4 quote from main "enemy" (albeit not very keen on fighting us) - "men only really love you [women] in hindsight, when too much distance has built up". If you do not want to open the link, let me tell you what it is about: "the study suggests that men release oxytocin when kissing women but women do not release oxytocin when kissing men. Oxytocin is released in women when they kiss babies which is what is said to bond them to the babies. Oxytocin is the "love" neuron according to what I've read.
